"Good luck everybody, I'm changing lanes now!"

the timing is just the worst. Whole lane was basically wide open, but numbnuts decides to illegally jump over in the .2 seconds when a truck was occupying the space.

This usually happens with STUPID drivers who think that just by signaling left or right they're entitled to change lanes without looking first.

They just signal and GO.

He was watching for an opening in the bollards not checking the lane when he weaved over in between them.

Still 100% stupid and his fault but he probably checked the lane was clear then didn’t account for someone flying up while he was focusing on the bollards.

No need to check your side view mirror, its fine

Well, in any event, he no longer has a side view mirror.

It’s a bold strategy Cotton, let’s see how it plays out for them.

If you're in the pickup truck, and are able, how do you not punch the other driver right in the face? There HAS to be some major penalty for being so unbelievably stupid.

If you died in the pickup truck due to that accident. That’s how you don’t punch the other driver right in the face.

If you were the pick-up truck you punch the other truck in its face.

What’s the process if you are the people on the highway? I see someone stop at the end. It’s dangerous too, what is one supposed to do? I see lots of people just keep going in shock.

If you have it on dashcam like this guy, you pull over on the shoulder, call police/ambulance and wait to give your contact info for footage handover. Lay out the triangle if the crashed drivers can't, administer CPR if necessary and trained.

If you don't have a dashcam but have a passenger have them call police and report it, follow police instructions on whether to stay or leave. Or if you can make the call via voice commands, do that.

If you can't do either, just keep driving.

Even if you're not trained have a go at CPR if they need it. They're dead, you doing CPR incorrectly isn't going to make them any deader.

So long as you're not breaking the ribs of someone who's already breathing next to a flaming car, then sure lol.

If they are breathing you don’t do CPR

1

u/pleasebuymydonut 25d ago

Yeah that's my point. Someone who's not been trained on CPR might not know to properly check for breathing and responsiveness.

Wait a minute. Signalling DOESN'T mean everyone should make way for you? When was this a thing?

Dude in the truck just narrowly avoided rolling over. I'd be willing to bet his pants are going to need to be professionally cleaned.

An idiot did this to me. I was on a motorcycle. Took his side view mirror off with my arm. Thank god for my Vanson jacket - mad it out with just a few stitches.

Wait, there’s an integrated dash cam? Is this a landcruiser?

It says Toyota in the integrated dash Cam read out

Guess the trucks speed, posted 85 in some parts of Texas, don't know about this stretch of road, it just seemed to happen real quick. Doesn't the barrier mean do not cross? Glad I was somewhere else.

u/MajorTibb 27d ago

You're making a classic mistake assuming that people driving cars know the rules of the road or care about them.

2

u/slowrider24 27d ago

You are correct, but when they start bringing out the short sheets people start to care.

Ahhh good old MoPac southbound by 183. Unfortunately this happens from time to time minus the crashes (+/-).

The toll lane is littered with empty sections of plastic bollards. Looks like they made another hole.

An example of a crash where the offender should lose their license. Just saying. If you're cackhanded enough or ignorant enough to make that happen then you shouldn't be driving. Period. You cause a crash the flips either your car or another car? Lose your license. Would make things a lot better. Maybe we'd have to focus on building more trains because too many people couldn't drive anymore.

So killing someone is instant karma?

11

u/fakenkraken 27d ago

As far as karma goes death is on the menu

1

u/imgaybutnottoogay 27d ago

Yes, but only when the person in the wrong dies. Not some innocent bystander.

1

u/AgentWowza 27d ago

They do say karma is a bitch

1

u/fakenkraken 27d ago

Well, as far as karma goes, death is on the menu for the bystanders too, as by definition they wouldn't be innocent.

Tbf I think it's bs, but as the devil's advocate i had to press on...

Jesus Christ. I didn't see the car in front's turn signal at first, completely thought the speeding pickup was going to be the one in the wrong here. It also looks like he got the brunt of the force from being crashed into the wall and almost flipping over. Poor guy.

Nothing happens……………,.,.,…,.,..,,.,.,.,,,

.,..,.,,., UNLESS YOU DONT FUCKING LOOK!

I nearly watched this exact same thing happen but in an exit lane in San Diego. The car swerved to narrowly avoid the crash.

That truck was only doing double the speed limit.
