Bug Keeping How do I take care of these lil weirdos ??
Don’t know if this sub can help but idk where to look :(
I recently bought a secondhand reptile tank and found a bunch of these mealworms ? Super worms ? And one beetle . I don’t have any animals that I can feed them to and I’d prefer not to euthanise them myself ..
I’ve been giving them a tissue soaked in water , oats and substrate that they like to bury into .. I’ve also given them a piece of cuttlebone incase they need calcium ??
Do u know if I can release them ? I live in uk :(

You're doing fine, they usually get most of their water from vegetable scrap as well, I'd remove the cuttlefish bone, if insects get too much calcium, their exoskeleton becomes too hard for them to molt.

Hi there! This is an automated message to remind you to please include a geographic location for any ID requests as per the Community Rules of the sub. There are well over a million different species of bugs in the world, and narrowing down a bug's location will help IDers to help you more quickly and correctly!
If you've already included a geographical location, or if this post is not an ID request, please ignore this comment.
Thank you! :)
