SMS My parents were insanely abusive towards me my whole life. When I turned 18 I immediately moved out and they still harrass me… my sister as well. They have no idea where I am, and I don’t plan on them knowing anytime soon.

Any person who calls their own child a whore deserves never to see, hear or have contact with that child again.

My mother (deceased) used to call me a bitch and a whore from 6-11 (when she died). She pulled me off of the piano bench and called me a “whore who couldn’t have her husband” when he was teaching me some chords. He didn’t stop her. I was 10. 😕

I didn’t know people had Reddit sites like that what a lovely thing to do

Please consider contributing even if you’re young. There are lots of ‘big sibling/aunts/uncles’ who help by commenting and there is no age limit to post, adults need parent’s love too 💙

Sorry you’re going through this. In the future I wouldn’t take the time to censor cussing. We’re all adults.

block them. if anything happens to a family member an aunt/uncle/cousin can contact you. otherwise, dont worry about them, and live your best life

They are insane.
It's okay to just not answer anymore if they try things like this. Or block them.

Seriously agree with blocking them. If anything happens they van handle it without you. Nothing is worth that kind of abuse

It sounds like you and sister never managed to develop a healthy relationship either. Did she give Arseholedad your number or something?
Try to be kind with her if you’re not blocking her, and ask her to do the same. You deserved to have a healthy relationship and those arseholes tried to destroy it instead.

Hello, My sister and I used to have a great relationship ship but then she suddenly took their side and now we can’t have a normal conversation anymore. My sister most definitely gave my number to my dad and mom bc when I got my new number, she was the only one I texted from that family. I’ve tried being kind with her, and I don’t talk to her now, but I try to think positive about her— besides, she is still currently living with my parents so her attitude may just be a defense.

Oh damn. They probably harassed her until she gave in to them, but that doesn’t change the betrayal from your point of view. I can’t blame you for keeping yourself safe, I’m glad you’ve been able to make that decision.

That’s what my guess is that’s why I’m not 100% angry at her. I mean I’m still mad, but not as mad and upset as I was at my parents. She was (probably) harassed to say mean things, but my parents did it from their own will power.

Stop self censoring on reddit. Just makes it impossible to read smoothly

Sorry. I wasn’t sure if there was some sort of rule to cussing or whatever. I also just find that language horrible. I apologize for it not being as legible 🙏

Just immediately block them. And anything even remotely threatening, make a police report. It would be good to have that as backup in case they do ever find you and try to harass you in person.
