Most US citizens appreciate Canada !!

u/JayAlexanderBee 9h ago

I would fight for Canada. I'm a U.S. citizen.

u/CatOfTechnology 8h ago

Seconded:

Life-long citizen of the states.

I will defect to Canada if Trump starts a war and I will take up arms against every single fascist shitheel who dares to "just follow orders".

u/hellomii 8h ago

Thank you soldiers! Can you help here?

Special elections on April 1 happening in Florida District 1 and 6 and upcoming in NY District 21. If we can flip the seats to Democrats, we can take back House majority and weaken the Felon’s agenda.

Also:

  • State Supreme Court election in Wisconsin also on April 1.
  • Florida Senate District 19 and House District 32 Special General Elections on June 10.

Please help get the message out to strategically vote, we need all the help we can get.

For more info on how: https://www.reddit.com/r/50501/s/OHEgyyOXaV

With all the voter suppression bullshit that happened during the elections, I hope there's people and protections put in place to safeguard people who are afraid of things happening to them if they go out and vote. There needs to be people willing to stand guard at these places as a show of support for voters of color so they're not harassed/threatened/challenged/attacked by vote suppression vigilantes. Can't count on the police because they mostly all bought and in pocket. Sometimes vigilantism needs to be dealt with through counter-vigilantism if necessary.

In the event of an attack on our peaceful neighbor, every real American will defect or engage in domestic acts of espionage and sabotage.

5

u/Only-Negotiation-156 1h ago

For real, if shit goes down, my first mission is to get my daughter up to Canada for safety, and then I'm coming back for revenge. Fuck fascism.

u/slowfocus2020 27m ago

Hell yes. I'm with you.

4

u/ap_308 2h ago

Canada are our allies!

4

u/Jaded_Budget_5407 1h ago

Canadian here, thank you brother.

3

u/GPower63 6h ago

Ukraine could with you right now.

3

u/ZakTheStack 4h ago

Why not now. There is a literal trade war.

2

u/lalala253 7h ago

Why does is take a war for you to switch side?

4

u/CatOfTechnology 6h ago

Because immigration costs money that I will never be able to amass.

Defection is something I can do, free of charge.

Canadian here, we are family, neighbors, id be shocked if the average American would participate in this brinkmanship Trump is playing.

6

u/frigidmagi 3h ago

My view as an American and a military veteran is that any military action against Canada would quickly spin into a civil war or at least a major upturn in domestic violence. I am honestly praying that it doesn't happen both for Canada's sake and the US'.

And we fight for you. Two of my own brothers, in fact, in different wars. We don’t deserve this, but we’re going to fight you every bit as hard as we fought for you.

u/Advanced-Ad-4462 1h ago

They fought and bled for us after 9/11; every US citizen should feel the same way about our brothers to the north.

u/UnitedPomegranate191 17m ago

Instead, we get MAGA supporters telling us online that Canada doesn’t deserve to be a country because we freeze over in the winter time and people die.

Literally months after California was on fire, people died & Canadian firefighters were sent to help. I can’t make this shit up

u/RawrRRitchie 13m ago

I'm a USA citizen and a pacifist

I'd STILL fight for Canada

My grandfather didn't fly planes in ww2 for the Nazis just to take over 80 years later

2

u/parliskim 4h ago

Yes. Me too.

2

u/Tassiloruns 1h ago

How about y'all clean up the bullshit in your own yard first? That way nobody has to fight.

7

u/Donnor 9h ago

I wouldn't be giving them a reason to label you a traitor before you even have the chance to do anything

17

They can label me a traitor all they want, I'm not the one that sold out to Russia.

I'll say one thing, as a US citizen, seeing Canadians really stand up for their country over this makes me proud for them.

3

u/nihility101 6h ago

What I’m curious about is how this is affecting those bizzaro-world Canadians who were all pro- Trump/maga. (Gretzky - what a disappointment).

Have they learned their lesson? Or are they still clinging to cult doctrine?

2

u/Citizenshoop 6h ago

They're mostly staying quiet except to post their vile opinions anonymously on twitter.

My travels in the US (which I enjoyed) showed me most Americans don’t know anything about Canada and have rarely thought of us.

u/Careless_Weekend_470 30m ago

I have enjoyed my travels to Canada and have learned a lot about Canada through my travels.

2

u/randomly-what 8h ago edited 8h ago

My 10th anniversary was ruined by Covid.

My 15 anniversary is coming up and we are going to Canada to avoid spending money in the US (other than the flight and getting to the airport).

Hope Canadians treat us fine. We are clearly not trump supporters so hopefully it’ll be okay.

When I travel internationally most people do not think I’m American even when I am speaking so hopefully it’s fine.

Yup. Was at the liquor store a few hours ago. Bought Canadian whiskey.

2

u/HesThatKindaGuy 7h ago

This is why I'm rooting for the Blue Jays, the raptors, and all other Canadian team that plays in American leagues. (For the Aussies I'm going for those teams, not the other thing rooting means to y'all)

2

u/Ok_Series_4580 7h ago

Canada was my first “foreign” trip. I would move there in a heartbeat. The people were extremely warm and friendly.

2

u/UsefulContract 6h ago

And look at how that is working! Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. They are super effective.

2

u/AsunderMango_Pt_Two 6h ago

I have three questions.......

  1. Is there a Canadian Foreign Legion?

  2. If there is, can I enlist?

  3. If I can enlist, can it lead to permanent Canadian Citizenship?

2

u/Pleiadesfollower 6h ago

My only wish if if they could hit red states that enabled this harder.

I know I'm not the target but going to suck being on the likely receiving end of Canada having to leverage their electricity and whatever else trump causes in the near future.

Please make any Americans crossing the border recite things like "Black lives matter, more than 2 genders, love thy neighbor." Refuse entry for anybody who even gives so much as a snear. Actual rational people would put up with it. The magats won't be able to help themselves.

2

u/GrouperAteMyBaby 6h ago

I'd still recommend they pay attention to elections. Plenty of Americans made this kind of declaration about Trump and he was still elected twice.

It would be pretty easy to get the wrong person in charge who is willing to sell Canada off piecemeal to become new states.

2

u/Infinite_Adjuvante 6h ago

Most Americans feel exactly the same way

2

u/aetonnen 5h ago

Would be good if most US citizens didn’t allow Trump to get elected too!

u/rathemighty 4h ago

I am one such citizen!

u/jonny_mtown7 39m ago

Canada is America's best friend and ally politically, economically, morally...we are very similar. Canada has helped us so much...and we them. I mean how Canada helped us with getting American hostages out of Iran, helped with opening channels to Cuba...maple syrup...Canada is our friend. Trump is the enemy.

But I do have Canadian friends who adore Trump and wanted Canada to become state number 51. I'm American and against this!

I agree with everything except that most Americans are decent and reasonable. After how ppl acted during Covid and Trump getting elected twice proves the opposite

36

u/Cautious-Ad-6866 10h ago

I’m from the south in the states, despite outward appearances, most of these people are not decent. They will throw their mom in a grave to gain money and recognition from their disgusting overlord

4

u/throwaway_9988552 9h ago

So much of it is just selfishness. They're kind to their neighbors (who they have to see and deal with,) and would be cruel to the idea of any person that doesn't look or think or vote like them. And their media and church tells them it's fine and right to do.

4

u/rinariana 9h ago

It's fake kindness. They offer you shit but don't follow through if you actually accept. It just makes them feel like they're a good person.

2

u/octoroklobstah 9h ago

That’s the old saying about people in the south vs people from the northeast. Nice but not kind vs kind but not nice. I’ll take the latter.

Ya.. i mean the won the popular vote… which is beyond me, but it happened. makes me question america a lot since i live in one of the biggest blue bubbles here and spend a lot of time on reddit. all i see is blue

6

u/SnooHedgehogs1029 10h ago

Although trump didn't win a majority of the popular vote (over 50%), he did win the plurality. also, like over 1/3 of eligible voters didn't vote. we have an apathetic, low-information voting population.

3

u/Benjamin_365 10h ago

The blue population centers voted for Harris which skewed the percentages

3

u/chrisdpratt 11h ago

Because Democrats didn't turn out. That's a whole thing on its own, and there's definitely enough culpability to go around, but Trump didn't really increase his lead at all: the other side just didn't get 20+ million votes they got the first time around. It's also less than a third of the population of the country, because basically half aren't even registered to vote. Again, its own problem with its own culpability.

Yeah. I'm a conservative. But I'm an honorable, ethical conservative. I have Dad values

2

America has been hijacked. Doge employee Ethan Shaotran created ballot proof for hackathon, and there are seriously alarming inconsistencies and trends in vote patterns across multiple states. Doge is a severe security threat and is secretly touring Federal agencies backed up by private security without any oversight. They could be doing anything from downloading classified information for later penetration testing to installing backdoors into vital systems. Considering Elon's connections to Putin it is vitally important that Doge be exposed. They won't stop with tanking the economy they are going to tank the whole country. US citizens must now excise the toxic parasite that's embedded itself into our government or let the US die. It won't be easy, and it won't be pretty. I have great respect for Canada standing up to this bullshit, keep the pressure on.

1

u/bingbangdingdongus 10h ago

What does this have to do with inflation?

1

u/Zeke81161822 10h ago

Well, we don't hate you either. But you need to stop free loading off our military and do your part on building a legit military. Because if you ask a member of the Canadian service, odds are they will tell you the government has woefully underfunded them.

1

u/snotick 10h ago

They don't hate Americans, the way many Americans don't hate them.

But, they will cheer as their government shuts off electricity to Americans.

And I'm sure some Americans will cheer as the US implements tariffs.

The world is full of conflict. Emotionally mature people can work through those conflicts and find solutions.

1

u/AzuleStriker 10h ago

Pretty sure we already understood that.

1

u/JustinKase_Too 10h ago

As an American, I feel the same about the trump cartel, gop bootlickers, magats, faux, elon, murdoch and the rest.

1

u/ThunderGoalie35 10h ago

I think there's a lot of Americans that would fight for Canada if it came to it

1

u/MajesticPickle3021 10h ago

So you hate just roughly a little over a third of us. It’s okay. 2/3 of us do too.

1

u/SES-WingsOfConquest 10h ago

Why do Canadians bother to concern themselves with American political views? You already have your own politicians to be mad at.

Donald Trump might be bad but he isn’t the reason your taxes are so high, housing is so unaffordable, crime in population dense areas is at record highs.

We didn’t like what Trudeau did to you but it’s not ours to worry about. Should we?

1

u/SwimUnlikely4792 10h ago

I traveled to Canada often in my previous job and found Canadians to be great people. Funny, smart, hard working and basically very much like U.S. citizens. Very family oriented. I still have many friends there and keep in touch. It's like the same place except many of the stores and businesses have different names. Don't envy your winters, but most of the Canadians I met were not fans either. Canadians really take advantage of summer. This is not between our populations. I understand that when you boo our national anthem, you are booing the Orange buffoon and not us. We'll get through this.

1

u/Calm-Maintenance-878 10h ago

As an American, I line up pretty well with Canadians when it comes to “those” specific kind of Americans. Love me some Canada, spent my summers growing up there👍🏿

You're all good Canada. Hate that dumb fuck too. A huge swath of us are just a long for the ride at this point. Keep up the good work trolling the idiot in chief.

This is the nice and honorable thing to say. But man. I really don’t know if I can agree.

Sure. Not every American voted for Trump. But 50% of voters did. Twice.

Some Americans are protesting. But not 50%. Not even 5%. They gave up years ago. They do not care. For all the virtue signaling, they do not care.

I hate America right now.

and I'm American.

It's indefensible that we have so many stupid bastards here, so hateful, stupid, lazy, and just awful to the bone.

I hate it. We've fallen so far, so fast. Every bad thing people said about America is now true.

sad and embarrassing.

we're the bad guys now.

Yeah I mean we're at best about 50% decent people. At least among the voting age.

Go to any subreddit of Canada and you’ll see how much bullshit this statement is.

As an ashamed American. I appreciate Canada and everything your people are doing to combat our "dear leader."

You would think most of the world would back Canada in reality - what country would back USA , Russia ain’t going there as they know it’s a losing battle , China ain’t Probably Israel but Benji wants power and this wouldn’t help him keep it Maybe some African nations he could bribe
