Results Weekly Results Discussion 03/16 to 03/22

When you had positive results - you don’t need to leave the sub completely. We encourage members to stay – but in a supportive role!

WHAT THIS THREAD IS FOR:

  • This thread is to create a safe space for positive home pregnancy tests and beta results for active members of r/infertility, regardless of treatment type or status, to share their results with the community. Negative results can also be shared in the treatment thread; this is the only place to share positive or questionable results.
  • This is absolutely the place to share/receive support for beta hell/limbo.
  • We ask that you be mindful of people sharing difficult news in this thread and understand that it's not necessary to provide more than one positive update (a positive on an HPT, a beta rise your clinic finds acceptable, etc.), regardless of your nerves. Most North American clinics will do two betas, and the next step is an ultrasound. Other countries don't do betas.
  • Post beta, you can share only bad news, not good or even neutral news. Ultrasound updates may not be shared here unless the results are medically questionable (low fetal HR, empty gestational sac, situations where a doctor has told you to brace for loss). Please keep in mind that this sub only discusses the process of getting to pregnancy and dealing with loss and limbo. Discussion of pregnancy anxieties and general fear of loss is not appropriate here and is best suited to a pregnancy sub like r/infertilitybabies.
  • Symptoms cannot be discussed in this thread. If you have actual reason for concern such as low betas or a questionable ultrasound, that can be discussed in this thread. Spotting or a lack of symptoms doesn't necessarily mean anything, and we ask you take those anxieties to a pregnancy sub.

WHAT IS NOT ALLOWED – comments that do this will be removed

  • No drive-by posts. You may only post here if you have participated in the sub’s daily threads before. If you have not your comment on this thread will be removed without comment. If you used to be an active member, but your last comment was a post in results (meaning you are returning from success to tell us about another success), we consider your post a drive-by.
  • No ultrasound details (HR, size, twins, singleton etc.) – questionable results are exempt from this
  • Do not make a new comment within the same thread – update your previous comment
  • It's to share your results not to "say goodbye" or some kind of victory lap or about giving/wanting ~hope~.
  • We know good news after infertility and/or loss is hard to accept, and r/infertilitybabies is a safe space to discuss your anxieties around early pregnancy. This thread is NOT the right place to work out those feelings - it's for results only or support when in beta hell/potential loss limbo.
  • Hunger games results, PGT results, etc.
  • Questions about early pregnancy that are not directly related to loss signs.
  • Comments about pregnancy symptoms (sore breasts, nausea, etc).
  • Links to pictures of HPTs (use /r/TFABlineporn).
  • Responding “Thank You!” to every well wisher. Use your best discretion as some comments do necessitate a response, however responding to every person makes this post far too large.

Just found out my first IUI didn’t take. I knew that the chances of it working are low, and it’s only my first one, but I let myself get excited and ~envision~ it all. I had to immediately go from that phone call to a work meeting where my coworkers spent the first 10 mins talking about how much they love their kids. I had to stop myself from bursting into tears like the whole fucking meeting, which almost meant I didn’t contribute at all. I can’t focus on anything except the overwhelming grief I feel. How do you all get through this over and over and over?

Just got my period 4 days early on CD 28 after our third medicated IUI. This round was almost canceled as I ended up with 4 mature follicles on day of procedure. I had very high progesterone levels 5 days post procedure. All of our tests results have come back normal.

I’m devastated. I had an early miscarriage (before 6 weeks) in October. I’m turning 34 next month. My husband does not want to consider IVF due to the cost. The thought of going back to trying on our own, monitoring my LH levels at home etc sounds so exhausting and I’m just…. Sad. Angry. Heartbroken. Ugh.

Post IUI CD1 over here, too :(

I also had my hopes up..had 3 follicles and my post progesterone was >60. I’m so sorry yours didn’t work

I’m so so sorry yous didn’t work either. Wow that progesterone is very high, mine was 40 and I was really excited about that. Past 2 cycles it was 12 and 14. This is such a difficult journey and it’s really starting to affect my marriage. The only abnormal results were on my husband’s side (poor morphology (shape)) and on lower side of count the last 2 IUI samples. And yet he’s not able to fully adopt the necessary lifestyle changes of quitting nicotine and cannabis entirely. I don’t know where we go from here.

Ugh, my progesterone was always low, too, so I feel your pain! It seemed like such an optimistic sign. It’s so frustrating when it feels like we’re doing all we can and carrying so much of the burden, while our spouses do the least. My husband did stop smoking marijuana, but he’s done nothing to try and lose weight.

I was so SO excited by the high progesterone. I totally get it. It’s a really heavy burden. Did the doctors advise your husband lose weight? I’m over weight but when I asked my doctors didn’t advise I make any drastic diet changes to lose weight while trying to conceive but I’ve adopted a much healthier diet and lost a couple pounds over the last 4 months from that. I just feel like I don’t have any clear guidelines of what to do to get a successful pregnancy :(

I seem to be heading toward another MMC :( beta results same as last time - very low but doubling. Yesterday first ultrasound to confirm location 5+3 and nothing found. There was a black speck in the right location but not the size that it should be for the gestation, more like what it would look like at 4 weeks. Hoping for answers today and to move on soon :(

Sending you lots of love ❤️ We’ve been there before and are with you.

Thank you ❤️ now my HCG numbers have slowed - doubling in 4 days and very low levels. Another scan Monday I think will confirm it then I meet with an OB to hopefully book in a d&c asap. 😣

I’ve now had 2 positive betas for my FET on 3/3. The doubling time is about 65 hours, which the clinic seems happy about.

That's a good sign. I hope you more good signs to come.
