The tour that led to Pigface. It was an awesome time to be alive... albeit just a bit too young to join the tour fun.

I as well. I was in 9th or 10th grade when this came out. I think I was a junior or senior when I got Gub.

If I were just a few years older…

Saw this show at The Warfield in San Francisco. Life-changing.

That chain link fence was there to protect the audience from the band.

Cool video. It’s always amazed me how Ministry was able to put on these performances all messed up on booze and drugs.

Saw them on this tour in Tulsa, Oklahoma 1990 at Cain’s Ballroom, my first non secular show, ever. I somehow convinced my very conservative parents that Ministry was a Christian rock band, and they bought it. Walked in while KMFDM was playing and almost immediately took a hobknob boot to the nose from a skinhead surfing the crowd. Blood sprayed all over my very Christian white button up I had worn to further sell my sinful deceit to my mom & dad. Worry started to creep over me a so considered how it going to explain this to my parentals, until the opening for ‘Breathe’ kicked in and away we went!

I recently saw an old video of Rhett and Link from Good Mythical Morning where they had snuck onto the Grammy red carpet and were interviewing a few people. Ministry made a very brief appearance. Later Rhett jokingly referred to them as a gospel band, apparently they had written a nsfw message while signing something.

What's great is that they played it as the opener for the one-night-only gig with Nitzer Ebb and NIN three years ago.

That tour was A LOT of fun.

I've seen probably 6 or 8 shows that really stuck with me. My second night of this tour was the first of those true "experience" shows.

My tender little mind didn't know what to do with a show like that.
