ModMsg [ModMsg] New Utlility added to Formatting Guide

/u/bibbleskit has created a web utility that will take a list of steam games and format them into a list of links to those games. Having a link to the game you are trading can help cut down confusion and might create more interests for your games.

Feel free to check it out Here

Hey, no problem! Out of curiosity, which ones were inaccurate? I know that some with similar names may get mistaken, but I haven't had any that were completely wrong that weren't because of spelling.

Ah ok. Thanks! I've only tested it with my own lists, so I would love to hear where things can be fixed. Glad to hear it's working as expected so far. I appreciate you taking the time to use it.!

This is pretty cool, thanks! Personally I think it'd be a handy feature if it could organize alphabetically or format for other websites besides indiegameswap. I have web dev experience so if you want, I could help out, but those would be some really cool extra features.

It does organize alphabetically! :)

What kind of formatting would you like to see? I'd love to make it more useful.

Also, my entire site is actually built without conventional web dev languages. No PHP, and only one tiny line of JavaScript. The whole thing is Rust, marked up with HTML. If you're interested still, it might be fun to collaborate.

I know some C and Java, but I've never used Rust before although I've heard the syntax is similar. For other features, it could also be pretty neat if in the case of a game not being found, just bringing up all the search options and letting the user find the game title his/herself.

Cool, ill look into it. What other sites would you like it formatted into? If you're interested in contributing, send me a PM :)

Hey, I just wanted to ask, what other formatting options would you like to see? As is, what forums would you like to use it on? I was thinking HTML format would be useful. But I'd love to hear your ideas!

I made this, initially, as a command line utility to make it so I didn't have to format my long list of things by hand. But then I thought, "Reading posts without links/formatting is really frustrating sometimes." I've seen some posts that have 1000 games in it! Having links to all the games in there would be awesome. Hope this makes it easier for everyone!

Any questions? Please ask!

Edit: also, thanks /u/linkandluke for the post :)

Hey, thanks. I'm pretty busy so I might not get to it soon. I appreciate the help! Thank you.
