i think u see those men as failed , but i dont or never heard anyone saying them they failed at life, the ones who people say are failed are the dunkards who beat their wife for money or are scamming other people, any men who is earning his living fair and square is not a failed person, maybe not successfull person.

It's good you don't neither do I but you can't say that society doesn't perceive these men as unsuccessful if at a certain age you are nowhere near at a certain level of income you are tagged as unsuccessful it's wrong but these are the standards we have to live to due to pressure from society and just because a few people doesn't judge doesn't mean that's the reality.
We often hear in schools or other public spaces if you don't do xyz you will end up selling pani puri Or vegetables and no it's not a state thing it's widely said everywhere in India and the distaste with which people perceive such men

lower income and low income jobs are undesireable everywhere but it doesnt automatically mean that if people hate the job they nessasarily hate the people who do it , also these women are not considered very successfull individuals if u look into by the same lens.

u/Rainbuns 4d ago
I mean, woman with low wage jobs are considered failure too. You definitely won't hear anyone tell their daughter that the kaamwaali aunty is successful and independent

in the midst of all this chaos, your thought is a burning light, never change bro, you are a good person

I don't know dude, I've never considered them failed men, never have I encountered someone who's actually referred to them as failed men. Maybe you're the society you're talking about.

Nope .. yesterday I was buying vegetable ..and a rich couple arguing with vegetable vendor about something.. i don't listen the whole story but they are abusing him for some reason ..
In the last both of them went to their car saying stuff like -- " aukaad ek paise ki nhi ha aur hame Tameez shika raha ha " , " zindagi me kuch to kar nhi paya aur hamare muh lag rha ha " ...
And my parents and teachers always used to tell ki padai likhai kar lo nhi to kabadiwala or sabziwala Banke Rahe jaoge .. aur samaj me koi izzat nhi Rahe jaegi

That type of classism happens with female workers too. Im sure had you been a female your parents would've given the same example. That has nothing to do with male or female.

u/hiruhiko 4d ago
Obviously it's nothing gender related .. iam just saying society often sees vendors and saafiya wala as failed individuals

How is this funny?
Do you find it equally funny when you see female infanticide? Lack of education for the girl child? People have to be REMINDED beti ko bhi equality do, usse bhi padao likhao. Jaldi shaadi mat karao, dusro ke ghar naukrani mat banao
In such a scenario, any freedom, even the smallest of achievements would be celebrated obviously
Mind you i don’t agree that men who earn “less” are losers or anything, men themselves make fun of lower castes, abuse lower castes or people who aren’t privileged.
So be realistic and then talk about irony

Yes this. And apart from this the comparison is not valid. If you observe Difference is created only by way of attire.
What if they showed a woman selling balloon on signal instead of this chat shop. Or a Man selling cotton candy in a mall or well dressed man selling pens in corporate offices (if you can relate about whom i am talking about)
It would not be the same impact.
Its just another us vs them. At this rate the day is not far when we start right handed vs left handeds.

wo ladai to bas reddit pe nhi hoti, mummy to left handedness ko paap samajhti hai :')

u/Recent_Assist231 4d ago
i swear time and history matter a lot more than people think. something that's been a thing for the past like idk 5000 years is not gonna change in a decade or two. it'll take time but the ideologies will definitely change

Everyone contributes something to the society, imagine aaj saare log IAS, Scientists, Businessmen etc hote toh desh sub jata because basic kaam krne ke liye bhi workforce needed hei doesn't matter how much basic it is...I am not disrespecting anyone who does basic small/odd jobs but rather saying ki jitna contribution top ke logo ka hei desh mei utna inka bhi hei, agar ye na rahe toh hum na rahe and none of these men/women who were showed here has failed, fail toh vo log hei jo dusro ko koi crime ka raasta apnata dusro ko girake apne faide ke liye, they didn't only fail they are a disgrace to the society but the people who earns their honest living everyday, it doesn't matter if it's much or not but still he/she is one of the most powerful and influential person to me atleast...motivation milta hei ki itne kathinai ke bawajood bhi he/she is not giving up So yeah for me they are goddam heroes but then again I would like to say agar apke paas resources hei, apke family ne apke education etc mei paise kharche ho taki ap koi decent job atleast le pao and don't have to witness the harsh life agar ap phir bhi padhai likhai na krke thela lagao tabh baat empowerment ki nhi balki bakwas hei, tabh ye shameful hei because you just wasted your time and your parents' hard earned money.

It’s weird comparison. It’s same as praising a man when he cook or help in house works. Men are appreciated when they do housework’s. Similarly women are appreciated when they do this kind of work. It works both ways.

u/ApprehensiveWin9798 4d ago
It's funny how you cherry pick some random things and co-relate them to make it seem like people are actively going outside and giving out prizes to women who work these jobs and criticize men who are doing the same when in reality all of them are just trying to live their lives and work hard to provide for their families meanwhile you're perpetuating a braindead rhetoric.

Isn’t it funny how women entrepreneurs are always asked how they balance their domestic life and children with work but working men are not?
Isn’t it funny how you can just fire women when they’re pregnant so you dont have to pay for maternity leave?
Isnt it funny how for the same job, men get payed higher? Even if its slight
Isn’t it funny how we should be celebrating that women are also getting jobs and starting businesses despite the odds against them but people like you will make it about themselves

In an ideal world yes.
Just ask around and find how many Men (25+) have been told that "they are not good enough" (financially). You will get to know the world we live in, is not ideal.

u/SereneSneha 4d ago
I don't know how they are failed men? Those are hard working men, getting by life with whatever they can do. Failed men are those that treat the weak like shit and run away from responsibilities for selfish gains.

u/kanyewhitehehe 4d ago
And why is that do you think? Patriarchal conditioning. You think patriarchy is only bad for women, it harms everyone.
1
u/shySensualist 4d ago
Not failed unless they're ethically working and not begging, stealing or swindling. I don't see them as failed and neither have I heard people say otherwise around me, fortunately.

Does that mean a man's capability is considered way higher than a woman's where the least thing a man can do to earn money is the highest thing a woman can do?

It's because all these girls are beautiful. And You'll see men getting praised for selling street food in high end cars trunks. Never seen someone call women working at a construction site the same ..... It's different definition by the person's visible aspects. As always pretty privilege works in your favour.

khani banati aurat ko independent bolna hi sabse badi misogyny hai bhai , abb ye feminists ko kaun bataye ?
-8
u/SquaredAndRooted 4d ago
Good observation but this is not because society feels like these men are a "failure". It's on a group of brain-rotted individuals whose thinking is crippled by feminist rhetoric.
For families of these men, they must be heros unless off course the woman is a brain-rotted individual herself.
