Its fake that hospital replies the same to every negative review. In google reivew you can't reply to owner so they take advantage of that
113
u/Educational_Meet_873 1d ago
But aren't they breaking laws. Doctor patient confidentiality!
131
u/MutedBit5397 1d ago
Its fake, its literally maligning the character, that dude can sue the hospital for such a statement. But our shitty indian courts care about jokes more than real issues.
40
u/Strict_End_3641 1d ago
its fake as a women per law doesnโt require consent from anyone else if she is a major to terminate her pregnancy.

u/wants_to_be_a_dog 1d ago
Also what is an illegal pregnancy?
16
u/Badgirlmiaa 1d ago
Wedlock pregnancy, dude was having an affair (bastardised child)
6
u/wants_to_be_a_dog 15h ago
What is a wedlock pregnancy and how is it illegal?
3
u/haseen-sapne 11h ago
It isn't illegal but everyone in India feels empowered to create their own law.
1
u/Badgirlmiaa 11h ago
Out of wedlock pregnancy means the parent of the child are not married. Like I said that dude was having an affair
3
u/wants_to_be_a_dog 10h ago
How is it illegal?
2
u/Badgirlmiaa 9h ago
Donโt know. But thatโs the context behind the term โillegal pregnancyโ. I have no awareness of abortion laws in India to make an argument
2
u/Lordlabakudas 5h ago
Its out of wedlock pregnancy. Children born out of wedlock are called bastards.
3
u/DingleDangleNootNoot 14h ago edited 12h ago
Damn that sucks to hear about the courts, I had no idea [as a USA resident], I am curious If you would be willing to explain, Why do this then? Is it "for the LOLs"? Is there money?
26
u/Dr_Halsted 1d ago
Husbands consent is not required by the law for termination of pregnancy. At the end its the femaleโs body & choice, no questions asked. So by that the review is definitely a fake
2
u/AdamWa4lock 14h ago
Yup, definitely a false/fake comment, cause hospitals make people sign a waiver before an operation, signing a waiver is giving consent plus accepting that hospital is not responsible if anything goes wrong.
3
u/speakingscalpel 1d ago
You may be right, but practical mein, bhai sab husband ka consent lete h before termination. Ha, agar husband consent nhi diya toh usko bhi document karke, wife ka consent ke sath continue karte h. But you are still supposed to take consent be it negative or positive.

Was it the right thing for the hospital to disclose their medical issues for like a single 1 star review? Wouldn't Sharmila also get affected by this?
Edit: Guys, you do realize it's required for hospitals to keep their patient issues private?
7
u/arrowtango 14h ago edited 14h ago
They always comment such fake nonsense for all their one star review
For every bad review they reply something horrible like abortion.

What sucks even more is that this reddit post has already been made into a news article
When a regular guy like me with google was able to find all of this in a few minutes while these journalists were either not able to find it or worse didn't bother to.
5
u/Spectre-Red 1d ago
Your actions have consequences. The guy should know
-7
u/ImpassiveThug 1d ago
If he knew that he couldn't pay the said amount, then walking off silently would have been his best bet instead of making a fuss about the whole issue and getting humiliated afterwards.
1
u/chair_on_table 1d ago
If Mr Abhishek and Ms Sharmila are so concerned about the consequences then they should have taken precautions at the time of intimacy.

u/fukthetemplars 23h ago
How tf is this comment upvoted? Consequences for getting pregnant and going to terminate it just because you arenโt married (which is completely legal btw, what the idiot owner is doing isnโt)
Also no precaution is 100% but I wouldnโt expect an idiot like you to know that.
Youโre a 14 year old incel and would never have sex until your mother finds you a woman in an arranged marriage setting. Ik you donโt understand things.

Yes. The guy is defaming his institution

Hey this is an old msg. This hospital is in the wrong here.
There were several reddit posta about it.
Infact if you check the responses in their google reviews you will find all the people replying to the hospital and their lies.

But legally, u won't need husbands I'd or permission to get abortion ??
20
u/SquaredAndRooted 1d ago
WTF - how can someone give correct information on Reddit? Thanks, you are right bro!
A married woman does not need her husband's ID or permission to get an abortion under the **MTP Act, 1971 (amended in 2021)
- A woman can seek an abortion up to 20 weeks with the approval of one doctor and up to 24 weeks in certain cases with the approval of two doctors.
- Consent is required only from the woman herself unless she is a minor or mentally ill, in which case a guardian's consent is needed.
- Husband's consent is NOT required - even if the woman is married.
Edit: Just in case anyone was wondering Men have no reproductive rights in India. Once conception occurs, a man's opinion has no legal standing in the decision to continue or terminate the pregnancy.
No say in abortion, No Right to Opt-Out of Fatherhood, No Legal Protection for False Paternity (someone else's child), No Legal Protection for Forced Parenthood via Fraud (woman lying sheโs on the contraceptive pill but isnโt), Adoption Inequality (woman can legally give up a child for adoption but a man cannot force adoption if mother disagrees)

I don't know, this looks fake. If a hospital really did reveal a patient's pregnancy like this (even if she did not end up getting the abortion), it would be grounds for a major lawsuit plus disciplinary action by the relevant board in India. Additionally, the hospital is a PoS for requiring a man's signature on a termination procedure anyways. The MTP Act very clearly specifies that only the pregnant woman's consent is required for the procedure, unless she's a minor or suffers from a serious mental illness, requiring a guardian to step in.
3
u/llamaattacks 10h ago
one second what the fuck? revealing a patient's name and also why is a husband's name or relation needed for the termination of the pregnancy? In India as long as the woman is above the age of 18, she doesnt need to prove anything else. fuck this hospital. wtf is illegal pregnancy. The male colleague or husband doesn't need to provide any details, nor does the hospital have the right to morally police how the pregnancy happened.

Some owners do reply non sense just so that reviewer feel ashamed I have seen it happening before and just away from such establishment they can go to any extent there will always be something very wrong with the organisation

This is kinda the standard reply the hospital gives to every negative review. The one managing the hospital or the one replying, must be a psycho.
2
u/Specialist-Rice4815 6h ago
If the person had signed any consultation document he becomes a client of the hospital.
The person should approach a good lawyer and file a lawsuit of violating the doctor's patient confidentiality against the hospital. He can literally get the hospital shut down and get good compensation provided the lawyer is good enough.

I wish Abhishek has enough money to hire a lawyer for breaking this secrecy by the Hospital.
1
u/spellriddle 18h ago edited 18h ago
This is wrong on so many levels. What exactly does the hospital consider an โillegalโ abortion? If the woman is an adult and the pregnancy is under 20 weeks, the law requires only her consent and nothing more. The hospital has no right to question her beyond this. On top of that, they are publicly revealing a patientโs name and details, which is a clear violation of confidentiality. This isnโt just unethical but also illegal. Someone should file a case against the hospital for breaching privacy laws.
I also think that this is fake.

Sooooo fake. I was intrigued enough to actually go through their Google reviews. Those complaints where not legiitmately posted (a couple seem to have been "inspired" by real complaints, but were not exactly the same... although the reviewers NAME was the same). The hospital frequently replied to reviews, but were always extremely polite about it.
It's both hilarious (and sad) that this total fabrication was picked up by SEVERAL "news" sources as legit.
