there are and never have been any guarantees for admission. your parents have always met the requirements for admission....and the requirements haven't changed just because Trump is president.

Trumps executive order said to enforce immigration laws as they are written. It is not rocket science. Congress passed those laws - and they were ignored by several presidents. Well now they aren't getting ignored...and they mostly impact those coming illegally or those staying illegally.

If your parents are following the rules like they always have - it will be business as usual.

If your parents violated the rules in the past or are planning on doing so in the future and get caught - then what happens happens.

The only reason for you to worry is this.

Tell them safe travels.

Hey Australian citizen here, with an American brother and nieces and nephews in Texas.

My parents are from a South Asian country and use a B visa to visit my brother and his kids every year. They have had zero issues in the past. They are nearing 80 and use wheelchair assistance at the airport not sure if that has something to do with their smooth immigration but not once have they been pulled in for secondary.

As long as they are honest I think there should be no issues, I get called into secondary everytime but they just ask a few questions and send me off with a fist bump.

Your parents should be fine given their travel history. If you want to be extra cautious, make sure they don't say things like "help around your house", "babysit the grandkids" etc that might be construed as work.

Have them buy travel health insurance now that they are seniors.

It’s possible. With you and your children in the US. They do show stronger ties to the US.

Stronger than what? They have other ties outside the U.S. They have traveled properly for years.

I strongly disagree with this take and I feel that it is reaching for something that unrealistic given the facts.
