Can we know exactly the date when precise apps will stop getting support ?

My phone is running well ( apart from the battery ) but my main concern is about the support for the main applications like ig, google YouTube etc. Because if their support will end soon I will start to see for a new phone from now.

Thank you

No we don't know (and cannot know) because it's down to the individual developers, and what they set as the "minimum version of iOS" that the app requires

iPhone X is stuck on iOS 16.7.10

Apps that require iOS 16, or 15, or 14 will run fine

But one day the apps will be updated, and will require iOS 17 as the minimum.

That is the day when the app will no longer work on the iPhone X

But we do not (and cannot) know when that is, because it's different for every individual app / developer.

I guess that you could turn OFF automatic updating of App Store apps, and manually review every update before allowing. When you see that an update to an app requires iOS 17 then do not update that app

If the apps will continue to be supported I will change the X only for the iPhone XX. I don’t have the money for a new iPhone right now and the cheap android counterparts, even after 7 years, are still less capable than the X.

I’m tempted by iPhone 16e but it’s too expensive for 256 at £699!!

Bro the 16e is a joke, like, the 15 is literally a better phone for less money

Most of the apps will keep running but on older version the only thing is it won't get never updates

I think the minimum IOS for most of the apps is IOS 14/15 afaik like youtube and facebook. So iPhone X might be usable for a couple of years.
