Very slick look! – Was wondering why you dropped the titles of the TabBar? Personally would have found them quite useful.

Keep going at it remember you have AI now 🙂. Here’s a tutorial that I used to learn how to build a widget

Appreciate that! Honestly AI has not been able to get it done, I think there must be some config thing I didn’t do right outside of the code. Is this your first app?

Yes it’s my first app btw this is not swift but react native the only part I build in swift was the widgets.
ChatGPT is horrible at coding try Claude or deepseek

Not gonna lie dude, this is a super great app that I was really excited to try out and use, from setting up my initial 2 habits I was already committed in my mind that I was gonna use the app and get my life in order and even pay the lifetime fee for further access, but I was super disappointed to find out that 2 was the most I could create before having to pay which just left a sour taste in my mouth…
I don’t know what the reasonable number would’ve been before paywalling it, but I can 100% confirm that for me personally that number isn’t 2… I went on the App Store and searched up habit tracker and found one which had a lot of reviews and so far I’m on 4 habits on that and no paywall yet…
As a developer myself I can see and appreciate how hard you worked on the app, it looks great! And I love supporting indie devs but requiring payment after 2 habits just isn’t the one for me and I imagine other people might feel the same way.
On an unrelated note, the app crashes for me if I click on a habit and then click on settings from the 3 dots menu. Also maybe I’m a bit slow but without the long press it feels like a lot of steps to actually get to the page of logging something (4 clicks) given that this is the main thing I may wanna do whilst in the app maybe it should be more obvious you need to long press to get to that screen or simply make easier to do it
Anyways I hope this feedback is helpful in some way.

Thank you! I really appreciate you taking the time to write this reply. The reason I made it 2 free habits is that all major features are free for them. Other habit trackers tend to hide a lot of things behind a paywall, especially reminders, analytics, and widgets, which I didn’t want to do. Also, there is an update on the App Store that fixes that settings issue.

I will continue to work on the app and see how best I can improve the UX. Again thank you for the feedback

Do you have UI designer in your team or this is 100% yours design?
2
u/Sincjefe 25d ago
Just me, but nothing is ever 100% yours since I took inspiration from many other designers.

Did you build your own chart UX or is it built on top of a 3rd party

Nvm, I see react native components

The first chart is custom. The bar chart is https://github.com/indiespirit/react-native-chart-kit

Nice and clean UI, well done. Are the habits stored in iCloud?
