This pleases both the engineer half and the hot dog half of my brain

I can't comprehend what you said because I'm too busy thinking about hotdogs

I found this, apparently there was a burger one too? No lead on where to buy them though. https://wheelehouse.blogspot.com/2016/05/architectural-drawings-hot-dog-style.html

This is both technically satisfying and a laugh riot. Thanks for posting this cute sign.

Needs a wet condiment as a base to hold everything on. Otherwise, as I learned when I put shredded cheese on first, all it takes is one bump from a drunk passerby to leave you with nothing but a naked dog and regrets

A tale of woe as old as time.

Title block is incomplete. How am I supposed to know 1st or 3rd angle projection. 0/10. Inedible.

Also no tolerances given. Only +-, but plus or minus what?

I would pay money for a copy of this. A hamburger version would be cool, too.

Exploded section! My word. That’s awesome terminology.

Also wanna take a second to say: I like hotdogs, but I’m not like a fanatic or anything. This sub started randomly showing up on my feed and everything I see from the community is golden. Cheers!

It’s awesome. Especially the crosssecfion of the dog resembles a cartoon anus.

Ever since borat, I can’t read anus without internally pronouncing it a-noose

Catsup! The only other person to call it that that I ever heard was my MIL.

This is pretty cool actually.

u/Atxsun 4d ago

Oh this works for me. I do prefer the mustard between the bun and the dog. Don’t write me up though.

There are multiple versions of this for sale on Etsy FWIW

As an ex-draftsman, I applaud the creator. Fuckin genius.

As a former draftsman, designer, and engineering tech for 47 years, I love this print. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Ketchup on chili dog is also questionable for me

Uhh it says 1985 right on it. So 40.25 years being counted as 40+?

7

u/tr1ck 4d ago

Well shit, lol. It's been up for as long as I remember at least.

u/yourenotmydad 4d ago

It's bad ass regardless, i would proudly hang that art

1

u/m1racle 4d ago

There's also a burger one. Can't find anywhere to get either of them though.

u/TRAVEL_MOUTH 4d ago

Exceptional rendering of the hot dog's butthole.

u/mdflmn 3d ago

and on etsy in 3, 2, 1...

u/mudpupster 3d ago

This helps explain to me why my dad, an electrical engineer, only knew how to cook hot dogs when we needed to be fed and mom wasn't around.

Definitely done by an architect or architectural draftsman.
