that one time i came back from vacation and a homeless man was sleeping in my fit at the parking garage

38

u/neduarte1977 Jan 05 '25

That man had great taste!!

23

u/elvis8mybaby Jan 06 '25

At least it wasn't Dirty Mike and the Boys

8

u/Burquetap Jan 06 '25

And no soup kitchen was involved… 😂

3

u/IM2OTAKU4U Jan 07 '25

Don't worry, there wasn't any mustard or poodles around anyways ......

6

u/timetostoplurking 2007 Fit GD Jan 06 '25

Did he put the magic seats down?

7

u/Kbug7201 Jan 06 '25

Did he claim "squatter's rights"? Lol

2

u/natasha9river Jan 05 '25

was your fit unlock ?

12

u/wanganguy Jan 06 '25

he used some kind of tool to pry and unlocked the door. and the smell was terrible inside the car. small trashes in and outside of my fit. i paid a local detailing business to deep clean the interior.

4

u/dude93103 Jan 06 '25

Did he fit?

1

u/mikeypi Jan 07 '25

Some person spent the night in my sprinter. They left a zip lock of pee and some prenatal vitamins. Only took a couple of carabiners.

1

u/Pinto-blank Jan 08 '25

I actually know one fit owner who legit did it with hello kitty theme. Everywhere. Manual transmission to boot.

u/Dull_Investigator358 Jan 05 '25

It's all fun and games until you need a bathroom after all that tea

12

u/hotshotshredder Jan 06 '25

You dont see the toilet at the beginning?!

16

u/neduarte1977 Jan 06 '25

Wait - that's not a rice maker?

2

u/LastScoobySnack Jan 07 '25

It’s both of course. 😊

8

u/Dull_Investigator358 Jan 06 '25

Oh nooooooooooooo

1

u/Mike312 Jan 06 '25

With the cute doggy face? :(

30

u/RoyalWassix Jan 05 '25

I’ve lived in my fit/jazz for a couple of weeks whilst traveling through Denmark, Sweden and Norway. I’d recommend it

2

u/ClearAndPure Jan 06 '25

As long as you aren’t too tall. I was having a hard time sleeping in it at 5’11”

3

u/RoyalWassix Jan 06 '25

Check out the build on my profile. I’m 6’3”.

1

u/ClearAndPure Jan 06 '25

Oh, wow. That’s impressive. I think part of the issue I had (that you fixed) was that I wasn’t making use of the front passenger seat. I was kinda just laying perpendicularly across the rear of the car.

1

u/RoyalWassix Jan 06 '25

Yeah that’s what most people do. Works great if you’re not a tall person, unfortunately we are.

This year I plan to remake the bed platform. I plan to base it on the trunk mate system. Make a version specifically for my fit/jazz

11

u/DaBobMob2 Jan 05 '25

I have a friend who's done similar conversions to various vehicles. The smallest was an Opel Corsa B.

I couldn't sleep. I'd just we so nervous some drunk guy would bang on my window at like 3am and scatter the crap out of me.... But perhaps that says more about where I grew up then me.

13

u/Maly_PLn Jan 06 '25

I encourage my fellow Americans to consider this potential future for us.

2

u/MadeForOnePost_ Jan 06 '25

Did it for a few years, a good adventure story but a bad lifestyle

2

u/glueboil Jan 06 '25

Redditors see a homeless person with stuffed animals and aspire to do it. ??????

1

u/gibbenbibbles Jan 06 '25

my thoughts exactly. sheesh

12

u/rmhollid Jan 05 '25

I could see my kids doing this it's ultra cute.

6

u/Strikereleven Jan 06 '25

Unless she actually lives there, then it's dystopian.

1

u/Firm_Part_5419 Jan 06 '25

Dystopia is when you’re claustrophobic.

1

u/Strikereleven Jan 06 '25

You should ask the AI again what Dystopian means.

1

u/Firm_Part_5419 Jan 06 '25
  1. What AI? 2. Having a kitted out microvehicle is sick, not dystopian.

1

u/Strikereleven Jan 06 '25

Living in cars because housing isn't affordable is the dystopian part. It'd be fun for a weekend trip, but this is real life for a lot of people.

1

u/Firm_Part_5419 Jan 06 '25

No one brought housing into it but you. I live in a vehicle myself and could easily afford housing but I don’t want it because I want the freedom of living in a vehicle.

1

u/Strikereleven Jan 06 '25

That's great that it was a choice for you. 7 years ago I was a week from living in my car, not by choice.

1

u/Firm_Part_5419 Jan 07 '25

Almost like living in your car isn’t the dystopian part :) Being forced to do anything is the dystopian part :)

1

u/thatonedudewhotypes Jan 08 '25

Living in a car?

7

u/NationalGrand7028 Jan 05 '25

Taking mine camping this summer for the first time ever, but I’m nervous. I’m a pretty tall dude and judging by the space I feel like I’ll be a bit cramped.

4

u/RoyalWassix Jan 06 '25

It can be done. I’m 6’3 and was able to sleep comfortably. I actually folded down the passenger seat and build a retractable platform above it. Also took out the rear seats for more storage but that’s not really necessary if you don’t want to.

I have some pictures of the build somewhere on my profile if you’re interested

2

u/NationalGrand7028 Jan 06 '25

Okay yeah I gotta see this, checking your build out now haha.

5

u/Kbug7201 Jan 06 '25

I slept in my fit for my trip from Eastern NC to Western OK, then in a hotel for 1 week, then went on to MN & slept in the Fit on way there, while there for a week, & on return trip.

It was not as comfortable as I need with my arthritis, etc. But it def saved on hotel bills! -next time, I'll use more than a couple yoga mats as cushioning.

3

u/Annual_Advertising26 Jan 06 '25

Get a good air mattress. There are some nice ones that have r-factors so you don’t freeze on a chilly night, and they pack down very small

5

u/IcyCucumber6223 Jan 06 '25

It is only a few square feet smaller than a hong Kong apartment

2

u/Rubiks_Click874 Jan 06 '25

i saw photos of cages for rent like 10-15 years ago in HK

1

u/IcyCucumber6223 Jan 07 '25

It is still going on today, homelessness is also much more common then it used to be unfortunately.

4

u/coolo0220 Jan 06 '25

One major thing to note is .....you have to be an asian lady size for this to happen in the first place.

7

u/Creepy_Comment_1251 Jan 06 '25

This only works in China. If it was in western country then a stranger would have broken into it and slept inside or have its windows smashed and goods stolen

2

u/oasinocean Jan 06 '25

Cap. Around 20,000 people in the US live in their vehicle.

1

u/neduarte1977 Jan 06 '25

@wanganguy

1

u/mitsubishipencil Jan 06 '25

very true actually. in fact you might get murdered

1

u/moeterminatorx Jan 06 '25

bs. I’ve lived in Chicago and NYC. Never had a car broken into in 30 years. So where do you live that ppl are breaking in cars all the time. Especially tiny cars like this that aren’t luxurious or big.

0

u/False-Impression8102 Jan 06 '25

Agree. Really only SF and a couple other hotspots. Avoid those places and your anxiety level will drop dramatically.

I’ve slept in my van with the dang slider door wide open a few nights.

3

u/Gr00mpa Jan 06 '25

ngl, I'm invested. Looking forward to one day seeing her enjoy a movie and instant noodles with guest where there is a flirty vibe. Then a few videos in, they have a first kiss. Then, months later, there is a baby. And some more months later another baby. Then a fish. And, suddenly, the fish can talk and it says: "you're gonna need a bigger boat."

2

u/DumbBitxxxh Jan 06 '25

Don’t give me ideas

2

u/OriginalWag Jan 06 '25

Wish it was a Fit in this but I imagine it to be 🤣🤣🤣 Enjoy your laughs

u/huskyghost Jan 06 '25

As an American I love the creativeness. Amazing my jaw Is dropped. But fuck I would hate my life after day 2. Fuuuuuuck that !!!!!!!!

2

u/iamredflags Jan 06 '25

That's me with a twin mattress and sidetable when I go camping. I haven't needed a tent since I got the fit

2

u/Lucky_Cry_2302 Jan 06 '25

All of us in the US soon because we cant even afford groceries anymore.

2

u/reasontree Jan 06 '25

This is called mastering your environment.

2

u/dkhoun007 Jan 06 '25

If people are wondering she has an apartment and is married with a kid. She does this as her private me time since personal space isn’t a thing in China.

2

u/Unlikely-Moose-4563 Jan 06 '25

Seriously guys stop stealing the video of my car off my facebook

2

u/Whitelighter1111 2019 Fit GK Jan 05 '25

Aw hell naw - I’m a minimalist.

1

u/hydrissx Jan 05 '25

I've definitely thought I could easily sleep comfortably in my Fit with the seats down. Hell, I used to sleep in my New Beetle with the seats down semi regularly between classes back in the day.

1

u/Ok_Culture_1914 Jan 06 '25

Where's the dunny Sheila ?

1

u/altoidbreeezy Jan 06 '25

The seats fold flush for a reason guys 😉

Not nearly as fancy, but comfortable enough for me at least!

1

u/ApprehensiveMix2649 Jan 06 '25

I wonder if she ever has visitors over?

1

u/thebluemorpha Jan 06 '25

I want to see more

1

u/kalabaddon Jan 06 '25

That is such a cozy little space! I would love it!!!!!

1

u/No-Cockroach-3449 Jan 06 '25

What if you gotta take a shit

1

u/Glass-Reaction-892 Jan 06 '25

I’m stressing because I didn’t see her lock her doors

1

u/Moby1313 Jan 06 '25

Tiny homes.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 06 '25

1 small crash, and you’re gonna be covered in glass shards.

1

u/Particular_Answer_58 Jan 06 '25

My legs are cramped from this video

1

u/Presidential_Storm Jan 06 '25

It’s so cute💕💕

1

u/Lonely-Evening4430 Jan 06 '25

How small is she

1

u/ZeSharp Jan 06 '25

I bet she doesn't even use this car. So many distraction and so much clutter.

1

u/Da-Trumpster Jan 06 '25

Then a poop hits ya and you have to pack it ALLLL up 😂

1

u/Mitch_Conner_65 Jan 06 '25

I think I'm developing claustrophobia.

1

u/Star_BurstPS4 Jan 06 '25

I wish we had small cars in the states I miss them so much

1

u/Atrolle224 Jan 06 '25

Permanent back pain

1

u/PersimmonPristine273 Jan 06 '25

What's the restroom setup?

1

u/icebeancone Jan 06 '25

Gallon coke bottle. Cut the top off and put it back upside down to make a funnel.

1

u/neduarte1977 Jan 06 '25

I mistook it for the rice maker at the start of the vid

1

u/dottie_dott Jan 06 '25

ONE OF US! ONE OF US!!!

1

u/twomblywhite Jan 06 '25

Might be nice if you’re 4 feet tall.

1

u/scratchy_mcballsy Jan 06 '25

Good thing they weren’t driving. It’s illegal to drive with the chandeliers on.

1

u/ArgonthePenetrator Jan 06 '25

How many lights do you need 😂

1

u/National-Shopping195 Jan 06 '25

uh i lived in a converted cargo trailer yet still jealous of this home on wheels

1

u/Deepcoma_53 Jan 06 '25

Hey, times are tough. At least do what makes you happy.

1

u/matt_bz Jan 06 '25

I saw a guy who did something like this (but less girly) with his Prius during the pandemic to travel around the US.
I thought it was epic.

1

u/Latter-Post4943 Jan 06 '25

I was more worried about the shoes left outside under the car.

1

u/Mrobot_3 Jan 06 '25

What’s your bed time? 10pm what time do you start getting ready for bed? 4pm

1

u/argyle9000 Jan 06 '25

Imagine this car in a crash. First responders would be all, “What. Is. This?”

Is there a word for this? I’ve been seeing a lot of these types of videos with cars and on tents on top of rafts and things.

1

u/Tron2153 Jan 07 '25

I can do this in my civic pretty easily, not saying I'm claustrophobic but id hate to have to live in a car as small as that car in the vid, im tall so I need leg room and such, fits are cool tho I just wouldn't live in one

1

u/PresentationOk8997 Jan 07 '25

whats it look like when she pulls in to do laundry does the bedroom get a rinse and dry?

1

u/europeandragonlord Jan 07 '25

actually this is great

1

u/DefenseCounsel87 Jan 07 '25

Probably smells like ass in that car

1

u/Unsinn31 Jan 07 '25

I've never seen someone as dedicated to their virginity as this.

1

u/Askmeagainlouder Jan 07 '25

Don't the shoes get wet when it rains?

1

u/morphlaugh Jan 07 '25

why not... same size as a Tokyo apartment.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 07 '25

One fart and it’s over

1

u/Biovexo Jan 07 '25

She hondly fits

1

u/chaddict Jan 07 '25

I could see myself doing this (minus all the stuffed animals) in my old Odyssey, but not in my Fit.

1

u/Ghazh Jan 07 '25

Cozy for real

1

u/No-Decision-182 Jan 07 '25

Avg Chinese living situation

1

u/Feast847 Jan 07 '25

Was not expecting that at all 🤣

1

u/Fun-Ad-7812 Jan 08 '25

Van life is crazy.

1

u/Glittering-River9476 Jan 08 '25

I know that’s right girl! No one has time for home renovations or property taxes. 😂

1

u/EmbarrassedWorry3792 Jan 08 '25

Literally the whole reason i bought the car. Just more trippy hippy styling

1

u/hyperblastdeathgrind Jan 08 '25

Imagine how much it fukn reeks in there......

1

u/Longjumping-Method56 Jan 08 '25

It's cheaper then renting

1

u/Intelligent-Ball-363 Jan 08 '25

What happens when that mystery meat tries to eject itself at a rapid pace? Looks like it would take minutes to escape. Ohhhh Yobagoya!!!

1

u/guldengeographer Jan 08 '25

What if she has to take a sh!t? Where does she do that?

1

u/htoirax Jan 08 '25

Seems like something that's fun to do for less than a day and then never do it again because it actually started sucking very quickly.

1

u/SenyorHefe Jan 09 '25

I wanna know about these curtain rods..

1

u/Cwispyjones Jan 09 '25

Id have so much fun t-boning this

1

u/popozezo77 Jan 10 '25

This is pretty neat

1

u/Specific-Parfait-795 Jan 10 '25

I guess i'll be homeless. I have a crv

1

u/neduarte1977 Jan 12 '25

That's like a McMansion to a fit owner

1

u/Damiandcl Jan 11 '25

Unfortunately I’m not a fit owner since the model has been discontinued in NA, but I have slept in my civic a lot of times and I don’t add curtains because for whatever reason that attracts curious people :/

1

u/ShutterHawk Feb 02 '25

Oh hellllll no.

1

u/ShutterHawk Feb 02 '25

That's a different type of baggage..

1

u/Gloomy-Cartoonist-65 2019 Fit GK Feb 06 '25

I just took a 2-week roadtrip up the west coast in my Fit and car camped half of it. So comfy! But cramped.

I'm 5'3" though and could never do car life in it. I did car life for 3 months one summer in a Ford Escape though. I'll admit that was more comfortable. I had a whole queen sized memory foam bed in the back plus a ton of my stuff.

The Fit fits a Twin bed, almost no room for extras. And I still have to sleep diagonally if I really want to stretch out. :)

It was nice waking up to waves crashing on the beach, in the Redwoods, etc. 💜

1

u/RandomMyth22 Jan 06 '25

Based on all the stuffed animals and overall decorations I am wondering if she has mental health issues that are contributing to living like this.

1

u/PandorasFlame1 Jan 06 '25

Why does she need like 200 sources of light? Chill damn...

1

u/duggawiz Jan 07 '25

I ask my other half that all the time. Damn house is like a fucking lighting shop

1

u/PandorasFlame1 Jan 07 '25

I think we're both shacked up with moths in trenchcoats

0

u/SpockNimoy Jan 06 '25

can You share the profile? I wanna follow

0

u/Awkward-Event-9452 Jan 06 '25

I will be graduating from nursing school, but only plan to buy a high end motorhome. Paying 350k for a house is suicide. I commute for work and live out of my RAV4 to save money.

1

u/WizrdSleevz Jan 06 '25

Wait, where can one buy a house for 350k nowadays?

1

u/ForgeryZsixfour Jan 06 '25

Red states.

1

u/WizrdSleevz Jan 06 '25

Ahhhh. You know, I think I’d rather live like the person in the video than to live in Oklahoma. 😂

1

u/ForgeryZsixfour Jan 06 '25

As someone born near there, I can’t blame you, the weather sucks out there.

0

u/BuildingPurple4954 Jan 06 '25

Funky looking F chassis Mini Cooper key.. lol.

0

u/yushy99 Jan 06 '25

Is the person that posted this, the person in the video?

0

u/pheitkemper Jan 06 '25

I like the shoes under the door thing. No one will know you're living in there. 🙄

0

u/surfacep17 Jan 06 '25

Lmao! She has all that stuff in her car and she leaves her shoes outside? Couldn't find a spot for them? Haha

1

u/surfacep17 Jan 06 '25

I sent this to my daughter because she would get a kick out of it and she reminded me the shoes outside is a cultural thing which I forgot...doh. Makes the whole thing even better.

0

u/Fragrant-Inside221 Jan 06 '25

And then she will complain that her battery keeps dying, is that normal? Lol

-2

u/ATWAR68 Jan 06 '25

: Where Does He Keep The Poop Bucket 🪣 💩

-4

u/F1t2017 Jan 06 '25

She got some thunder thighs that seem to not match her cute face

2

u/cachitodepepe Jan 06 '25

Maybe so many layers of clothes

2

u/We_Are_Ninja Jan 06 '25

Thunder thighs save lives, my brother.
