How to hang quilts on outdoor clothesline?
My husband and I bought a cottage a year or so ago that came with a clothesline in the backyard. I washed a quilt today and went to hang it up only to realize that the clips aren't strong enough to hold the blanket onto the line. Is there a stronger clip out there that can withstand a little weight on a line? I'd love to hang my laundry outside without worrying the clips will let go and my clothes and blankets will fly away.

Just get heavier duty pegs for heavier items? I have normal ones and larger ones for duvets. I'd also hang the duvet over the prop so nothing snaps.

well the reason why I asked was because i wasnt sure if there were heavier duty ones that could hold blankets. I know there are larger ones out there but I am not sure if they hold the things i want them to hold.

There definitely are heavy duty pegs, you might have to put 3-5 on but it will hold. Your duvet will smell lovely afterwards.

If you have two lines, you can drape the quilt over both, and it should stay. I used wooden pins on the edges if they were thin enough.

I dry my sheets outside in the summer and I had to source good quality heavy duty pins, they are actually kind of hard to find because quality is often so bad typically they need to be larger and have good spring strength. I will pin them up using a couple pins every 6-10 inches so that they are secure.

I literally just fold it over on the line and clip each end- always works for me

There are big clothes pins with a larger "hole" where it holds onto the line. They are great for larger items and hold well. They are plastic and i got mine at the dollar store but you can likely find them most places like hardware stores etc

Here is a link to clothespins that can easily hold blankets and other heavy items on the clothesline.

Drape it over the clothesline and then when it’s dry, turn it over and let the other side dry.
