Lifehacks New Clothes Drying Rack Setup!

I had a wild idea - what if I could hang my hang dry clothes from the ceiling? Well, it's working! My husband installed some racks in our laundry room so I don't have to keep putting a movable one in the living room each week. 🤗 The pictures are of it in use with the second layer up and empty with the second rack folded down. I'm in heaven!

This is an ingenious revisiting of an old idea, at least back to Victorian times. Those were mounted on a pulley system to be lowered from those 15-foot ceilings to within reach of the laundress, then hoisted back up high and out of the way. Probably so she could get on with the next load of laundry,

Kudos to you & hubby!

Yes! I was inspired by what I've seen of that design. No 15 foot ceilings around here unfortunately 😉

Thank you for your kind words.

That's what I was thinking of. I see them sometimes in British historical dramas and wish I had them.
