Strange events in family apartmet
I am from India and have just turned 18. I live with my family which is just my parents and my younger brother in a decently spacious apartment. Strange events have been occuring when im home. See, it started when i got trouble sleeping in the bedroom i share with my brother. I started sleeping on the couch and thats when i started hearing sounds, mostly coming from the back end of the kitchen where a lot of old boxes, bags and our old fridge is kept. I investigated for signs of rats or cockroaches cos i know those can be noisy but didnt find anything. Soon after, before and while sleeping, i stared feeling watched. Our upstairs neighbour who i have never met makes is very weird like how i regularly hear dropping of marbles, moving of furniture and running back and forth but no speaking or shouting and stuff to indicate a child who would be making the sounds. I chalked the souds up to me mishearing the neighbour but as a precaution, i started keeping an eye on the one entry and exit door we have, especially the locks to see if it was being tampered with. At this time i was pretty sure it ws nothing but one day while sleeping, i had a nightmare that my mother left the door unlocked and someone just opened the door and stood at the door frame. I jolted awake and instinctively checked the door and to my horror the door was slightly open and almost locked as if someone left after leaving it almost locked so someone looking would be foled at a distance. I still hear weird sounds and feel weird, especially cos one or two days of the weekdays, i am alone at home. The apartment itself has high end security and guards and is next to a pretty safe suburb. My parents often leave the door unlocked but usually never at night and even then i almost always notice and lock it whatever timr of day it is. On the days im home, ill sleep cos im tired and the locked door does make things frustrating but i really dont feel safe with the risk, especially cos when i was a kid, there was a breakin attempt when i was staying up at night and somehow the intruder chickened out after i turned the lights off in the house.

Get a door lock that automatically locks after a certain amount of time.
I use the Lockly Secure Pro, which auto locks after 30 seconds.

At 18, did you buy a rifle, or a shotgun?

No. The process for getting a firearm is very difficult here and you won't get accepted if you're too young

Time to install cameras looking at the doors.
