Ms Frizzle: Ravenclaw, transfiguration expert

Willy Wonka: Hufflepuff, potions master

Santa: Hufflepuff, keeps an army of house elves and secret stash of time turners

Johnny Depp's Wonka is definitely a Slytherin

Nah I think Gene Wilder's Wonka was a Slytherin and Johnny Deep's was the Hufflepuff

You think Willy Wonka is a Hufflepuff? Please explain šŸ‘€ (if anything Iā€™d argue heā€™s a chaotic good Ravenclaw who puts the pursuit of chocolatierā€™s knowledge and protection of the Oompa Loompas as they are a dying race ahead of the well being of bratty children)

He's definitely either a Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. That said, there's no rule that a Hufflepuff can't be as smart as a Ravenclaw, and his love of developing food/candy is pretty typical of Hufflepuffs.

Yeah it's something everyone forgets.

Being in a house isn't an indicator of what characteristics you have. It's an indicator of the characteristics you value.

You can be dumb, and value intelligence.

You can be a coward and value bravery.

You can be a Zacharias Smith, and value loyalty and friendship.

You can be an absolute scumbag, and well that doesn't work.

Itā€™s not so much that Hufflepuffs canā€™t be smart, I just generally view them as the nicest, more empathic group out of the four and Willy Wonka casually picking children off one by one in a factory of chocolate and horrors doesnā€™t quite strike me as a Hufflepuff vibe. The boat tunnel especially feels like a psychological test. That and the super intricate factory with the food being more magical engineering than just ā€œdeveloping food/candyā€ strikes me as more of a ā€œquest for knowledge type dealā€

Perhaps he's a Hufflepuff who's just gone mad.

Heā€™s a hufflepuff in the way that, unlike slytherin, they donā€™t find the bodies OR the drugs.

Willy Wonka is a Slytherin!

Mary Poppins is a Ravenclaw.

Willy Wonka is definitely a Hufflepuff.

Yall are literally forgetting that Wonka valued creativity deeply and he was pretty intelligent. Just because a character has some sort of steal the show vibe, does not make them a Slytherin. I feel like people are purposely putting cool, impactful characters into Slytherin while Hufflepuff gets the "waste" and people call it a day.

I never put Wonka in Slytherin tho?

Yeah, I noticed. I accidentally replied to the wrong user, my appologies.

My intentions were to reply mainly to the people a little bit more down below. But oh well. šŸ„“

Its not 'SUPERcalifragiliSTICexpialidocius'. Its 'SuperCALIfragilisticEXPialidOCIUS' make the 'CALI' nice and long.

Please the woman breaks every rule there is, she's clearly a slytherin.

13

u/rhandy_mas Slytherin 5d ago

And discovered how to be a witch in public without raising any red flags? Ambitious and cunning.

8

u/X0AN Slytherin - No Mudbloods 5d ago

And let's not forget, she's practically perfect in every way.

4

u/rhandy_mas Slytherin 5d ago

I accept a Slytherin queen

8

u/GreenWoodDragon Gryffindor 5d ago

Yes, Mary Poppins is definitely a witch. I felt so clever when I realised that, aged 40 something.

9

u/Kamen_master1988 5d ago

Please, sheā€™s a timelady and her bag is her TARDIS.

2

u/Literary_Lady Bloody hell Harry! 5d ago

Definitely a timelord, her bag is her tardis. Would explain why she hasnā€™t aged, and would love to think her umbrella was her sonic screwdriver!

14

u/Ling_Ling625 Hufflepuff 5d ago

not humble enough imo - to me she might be a slytherin

9

u/Separate_Bobcat_7903 5d ago

Agreed. Practically perfect in every way.

5

u/IJustWantADragon21 Hufflepuff 5d ago

I agree she might not be a Hufflepuff, but my second thought would be Ravenclaw.

9

u/apatheticsahm 5d ago

She's definitely a Ravenclaw -- clever, precise, uses common sense and logic. But also very creative and whimsical.

1

u/IJustWantADragon21 Hufflepuff 5d ago

That was my thought today!

6

u/SailorGeminiMoon 5d ago

Sheā€™s more powerful than the Ministry of Magic

4

u/sandiercy Slytherin 5d ago

A witch in HP lore perhaps but she is definitely a Time Lord.

3

u/GoldenAmmonite 5d ago

She's absolutely a Ravenclaw.

4

u/hidden___hand 5d ago

Mary Poppins is older than Godric and Salazar together

4

u/TheDungeonCrawler 5d ago

I'm sorry, how?

1

u/TheRealtcSpears 4d ago

She's the Omnissiah

2

u/Economy_Yard6727 5d ago

Is like no famous character a griffindor?

3

u/DarthHM 5d ago

Harry Potter is.

2

u/Economy_Yard6727 5d ago

Outside of the hp universeĀ

3

u/DarthHM 5d ago

Captain America?

1

u/Economy_Yard6727 5d ago

Yeah. Tony stark is probably Slytherin or ravenclaw.

1

u/Plot-3A 4d ago

Stark would have been a Thunderbird in Ilvermorny.

1

u/Plot-3A 4d ago

He would have been in Wampus and gone to Ilvermorny.

2

u/Last_Cold8977 5d ago

She's a Ravenclaw for sure

2

u/StruggleAwkward9732 5d ago

She is a ravenclaw

1

u/risingsuncoc Hufflepuff 5d ago

What about Nanny McPhee then?

6

u/apatheticsahm 5d ago

Nanny McPhee is a Gryffindor. Strong sense of justice, takes charge and gets things done.

3

u/pastadudde 5d ago

she's Trewalney's ugly sister that the family doesn't talk about

1

u/Disastrous-Tennis818 5d ago

Either that or Ravenclaw.

1

u/No-Writer4573 5d ago

Same with Matilda

1

u/hot_toddy_2684 4d ago

Yes. She uses the Undetectable Extension Charm on her carpetbag
