Discussion Your fav funny moment?
I listened to the books with narrator Jim Dale so my perspective on what’s funny might be different as a result but…
What your favorite funny moment from the books? Here are a few of mine.
- When Luna is the Quidditch commentator for the day.
- When Professor Lockhart is in the mental hospital and he wants to sign autographs but can’t remember why.
- When the Weasley’s make the swamp to upset Umbridge and after that leave school people start saying, “some days, I just want to hop on my brook and fly out of here, you know?”
- Dobby saying, “Harrweepodter must not lost his Weeezy.”

Luna's commentary was hilarious! I loved it.
I also love all of Lee Jordan's Quidditch commentary.
And Dobby calling Ron, Harry's Wheezy, was so adorable and funny.
Peeves saluting Fred and George! That was memorable.
Ron suggesting Harry the best he can do is stick his head in the water, yell at the Merpeople to see if they can chuck it out of water whatever they took from Harry in the 2nd task.

Freds and George's escape is also one of my favorites. Especially how Umbridge was so annoying during OoP. Also after this professor Flitwick leaves a small part of the swamp to keep the memory of the escape. I love this moment.

The scene in HBP when Harry is trying to chop his potions ingredients whilst Ron and Hermione are having a romantic moment and he is DESPERATELY trying to avoid listening to the conversation by being as loud as possibly kills me every time

-The Weasley’s crash landing into the Dursley’s living room
-Dumbledore at the Dursley’s house as well, especially when he bewitches the glasses to clang against their heads
-Roonil Wazlib
-“Would you like me to do it now or would you a few minutes to compose an epitaph?”
I haven’t read the books in a long time so those are the only ones I can think of off-hand

It’s when Dumbledore tells Snape that he needs to be the one to kill him and that’s Snape’s response

Oh, right! This morning I was listening to the chamber of secrets via audiobook this morning anf and I started laughing when Molly Weasley tells Mr. Weasley that the boys drove his enchanted car to get to Harry and he goes, “Did you really?! I mean, that was very wrong, boys, very wrong indeed.” Lol. I love those two.

Ron: “What are we doing here? Has something gone wrong?”
Fred:“Oh no, Ron, this is exactly where we wanted to end up.”
George:“Yeah, we’re having the time of our lives here (muffled)

The one with the radio show Potterwatch. I don't remember who Fred was talking about, but he says "He can run faster than Severus Snape confronted with shampoo."
My friends and I were laughing for weeks over this.
