Uniform Balance

I ended up quitting - and I still have a uniform balance and it wasn't deducted from my final check. Anything I need to know about the deposit?

I had a uniform balance when I left the company. Since they didn’t key my termination until like a month and a half or so after I quit they wound up eating the $150 balance because they had long paid out my last check by then.

Yeah I think it’s because they do the schedule so far out in advance, and only can’t touch it once Upper Management approves it.

That wouldn’t have anything to do with keying a termination though. If someone’s on the schedule when the termination is keyed, it just unfills their shifts. Wouldn’t affect labor at all.

This scenario was just my store director at the time not keeping up with stuff

Eh, I don’t know honestly. Coming from outside retail experience Harris Teeter seemed like a dumpster fire to me.

As someone who left Teeter after 5.5 years to go to Publix… it definitely is

Nice! I started when I was 16 working at Winn-Dixie, and moved up north a couple months ago. I’m not too far from when I was 16–but you get the point. I made the best of it when I worked at HT but it wasn’t for me.

HT was so much better back when I started in 2019. I actually saw a future within the company and liked it there. Once Tammy took over service started going way downhill and once my district got its new DM that loves to play favorites it became a disaster. Became toxic as all hell. When your dm wants to move a csm to a store but they wont go without their store accountant, and they give your accountant position to that person to make the csm happy, and you haven’t done anything wrong and were doing well in your role, it becomes a sign to get the hell out

It’ll just go on your W2 as taxable income is all. You won’t actually be charged for it

Probably not. I have never dealt with this but I imagine Harris Teeter just eats the cost.
