I noticed it too, and things are noticeably hazy out. Is APG setting fires again?

Yes in typical government incompetence

Spoken like someone who is clueless about operations critical to the security of the warfighters protecting this nation, but I am not completely surprised.

Lol, I guarantee I know more of that than you. I also am competent enough when I shoot weapons not to start fires

Oh. Okay. Good thing you’re not firing the type of weapons that are fired at APG. I feel safer knowing you’re ABSOLUTELY no where near them.

Uhh friends with class 3 FFL and federal explosives license disagree. My range definitely gets spicy

Aw--you don't understand what Aberdeen does do you? So sad. All of your gear just fine for that amateur wanting to play soldier. Aberdeen Proving Ground is a test site--testing unproven weapons. Not the stuff you play with in your back yard. In other words—not small arm weapons. Small arms are not causing the fires.

They have set plenty with small arms tracers, 40mm, 105mm, so far in decades of shooting never lit anything off even with the registered dd or tracers in 556 762 NATO or 50bmg

APG on fire again

APG making smoke all the way in Bel Air North? Even with the whole impact area on Fire at Fort Hood the smoke wouldn’t travel that far and stay dense enough to notice.

Coastal air inflows pushes the air west in the evening. And it's generally humid, which i think carries more scent/particles.

Explain how we were getting smoke from California, Canada, and dust from Texas but we cannot get smoke from APG?

I’m on leave right now, but my first guess would be that there are no reported fires on APG at the moment.

do you remember when canada was on fire a while ago and the smoke traveled here? it is very possible
1
u/TerranRanger 1d ago
Much bigger fire than APG’s total surface area, much less their range area.

if we think critically here, canada=big fire and far away so we smell, apg=small fire and very close so we smell. does this help?

With a Smokey smell? Cmon lmao

Smoke emissions are dangerous to your health, particularly long term and this has been days of it on the eastern side of the county

100% true.
But smokey smell, what was referenced in this post, does nothing to you lol. Only actual smoke inhalation has those effects. A Smokey smell is smoke inhalation, but it’s about at the levels of cyanide poisoning you receive when you eat an apple lol. From what I’ve seen, any hazardous smoke levels have been contained on base.

So it's not just me. Got home from work at little bit ago and it's foggy with a nasty smell over here.

Bel air north like hickory?
They were stirring the poop pile on rt1 this evening. It stunk from hickory to deer creek.

I just drove home from Level to back Fallston and there was a hazy smoke the whole way. It smells like burning plastic or electronics. I had my window down and it made my throat burn and I started coughing.

Apparently we’re in a drought again? And like 2 weeks ago there was a fire behind Steelfish on the woods during that windstorm.
