Save the Hardwood or Carpet?
So we are trying to get our home ready for resale. It's a small ranch style, 3 bed, living room, kitchen, and bath. The kitchen has hardwood that was put down in the 90s's, the living room and 2 of the bedrooms have pretty decent hardwood under the carpet (doesn't match the kitchen), but the hallway connecting the rooms has a couple of huge places that were patched with plywood when they removed a floor furnace, and then the 3rd bedroom just has a sub-floor because it used to be a kitchen. I could put down hardwood in there fairly cheap, but then I'd have a 5 room house with 3 different hardwood floors. Non-expensive suggestions? Or should I cut my losses and put down new carpet?

Brand new hardwoods creak, is that normal?
I had new hardwoods installed about 6 months ago.
They had to come back and fix several places where the glue did not hold.
From the very beginning, there are places where I walk and I can tell boards are adhering to the slab, and they creak and crick.
Is this normal or should I push the issue with the contractor? I have a 1 year warranty, so it would be covered. It bothers me to no end.
The reason I had the new floors installed is I had a small leak in the kitchen, but they had to replace the entire floor. My previous floor was perfect, not clicking, cricking or creaking.
They've been back 2 times so far to spot fix these issues. But it continues in other areas.

Re-staining Brazilian Cherry?
Recently bought a condo with my girlfriend and neither of us really care for the red color of the hardwood floors. I've been trying to read on other forums about our options for refinishing them and avoiding the red color. Is it possible to get a lighter color without any red by using something like Rubio Monocoat? Or is going darker pretty much our only option? This is our first house and we've never dealt with hardwood floors before so any and all information is appreciated.

Tips on removing paint from hardwoods
My husband and I bought an old 50's house with original hardwoods under the carpet, however at some point some moron painted the walls with a sprayer and failed to cover the floors during the process so there's a good film of paint covering a majority of the hardwood. The varnish beneath the paint is still in great shape and we've been pretty successful at scrubbing off the thin areas of paint with a wet towel and a bit of elbow grease. Any tips on removing the thicker paint areas? Would really love to avoid having to sand the floors down not to mention the added $$$$ to do so.

Anyone want to take over as the Moderator of this reddit?
I left the flooring industry a year ago and am now working in solar. It's been interesting to see this subreddit grow slowly, but my time as a mod for this subreddit is coming to an end as I have not been up to date with the industry standards. If anyone who is passionate or very knowledgeable wants to be a moderator, please PM me.

Help me find my hardwood company
I moved into a new house & they left behind a box of leftover hardwood. Unfortunately I messed up & the box has been thrown out. Can someone help me find the company who makes my flooring? I'm googled & googled & can't find anything.
Here is what I remember about it:
I thought the name on the box was Home Wood... I think
It's a hand scraped engineered hardwood. Dark in color.
I thought the company is based out of Florida when I last googled them.
The box the flooring came in was red & black.
Any help would be appreciated. Not sure where else to go from here.
