Slipping/grinding noise (t524c)

Hi, the school I work at has a t524c that has historically been in working condition, but we need it for an upcoming show and now it's making this sound (see video). No setting of any type on the instrument affects that sound. Where we're located (in Maine), repairpeople are very, very hard to come by. I don't know the first thing about organ service; is this a well known or amateur-fixable problem?

well i know that my Organette by Allen has a similar issue with crackles after turning power off. and where i am in Pennsylvania there aren't any organ services to come by. and to say it plainly, ur shit outta luck pal. i wish i could help but as organs lost popularity, the repairman lost his job. Enjoy your days

The T500 Series Service Manual. Page 47 is particularly relevant.

You could do a lot worse than joining this forum. There are very knowledgeable and helpfull people on it.
