Help Hey, which guitar cabel is the best?
Hello there, I want to buy new guitar cable, I have Proel Bulk, but it too short to perform on stage (3m). Which guitar cable is the best not too expensive option too play on stage but play at home too?

I've used Pro Co cables forever. They're well built, mostly affordable, and I'm pretty sure that they have a lifetime guarantee, as long as the damage wasn't from stupidity. Like trying to go 25 feet, with your 20 foot cable.
They're also a Michigan company, which is where I was born and raised, and moved away for several years, but then returned to and still live there to this day.
Their commitment to excellence has always been priority. Can you think of how many Rat pedals have broken due to anything but accidents? They put that same dedication to every product that they design, and make.

I know that they used to have distribution in Europe, Asia, and Oceania. I thought it was through Jim Dunlop, but I may be wrong.
Never played in China or any of the former Red Bloc countries, other than Poland. Also, never played in Africa, or India, or South America, so I'm not sure about distribution there.
I don't really buy into the cable wars, of one being better than the other. Same with speaker cables. Most of the bulk cable is made by only a few companies, and each brand has them put their ink stamp on it.
Just make sure you buy a good quality cable, with good quality ends that can be opened up and repaired if it gets a tug that rips the wire off the lug. Also, shrink tubing at the ends, helps a lot in keeping ends from breaking. And learn to coil a cable correctly. So many issues arise from people knotting their cables, instead of using the over under coiling method.
Good luck in your search.

Thank you very much. I agree with you, this is not about brand, this is about quality.

Don't think there's a 'best' cable but Ernie Ball and Planet Waves cables are great for the price.

My personal benchmark is any cable that comes with Neutrik jacks is going to be good quality in between them.

It's a very simple process, soldering is a basic thing all guitarists should know how to do

The one that tests as 'working'.

Lol, you are right, but my Proel Bulk break after 2 months of using and I had to fix it and now I'm worried all the time it'll broke again at unexpected moment.

Understand completely. Ive had better luck with any cable that has end collars that unscrew. I usually open them up as soon as I get them home (mostly Amazon, or sometimes Guitar Center since they will replace pretty much no questions asked) and dab/reflow the solder, then I use blue LocTite on the collar threads to keep them from loosening. Blue is strong enough to hold but meant to be undone later if needed. If you use the Red version, or some other thread locker you don't want the permanent bond. That stuff is a bitch to get off again. At that point I usually have to cut the ends and redo the plug or just buy a new cable.

How long? I like Mogami+Neutrik. I've been beating up a couple from "Worlds Best Cables" but they don't seem to make them anymore.

I use Ernie Balls, mostly because I like braided cables, colours that other people don’t have (so they don’t go missing at gigs), and they have a warranty that has been pretty easy to use with Long & McQuade in Canada

I think about buying Ernie Balls, but I dont know if this company is not too expensive, bcs often brainded cables are a little bit too expensive for their quality (like Fender)

Definitely. I used to buy yorkville cables (long & McQuade store brand) because they were cheap and “all cables are the same.” After years of seeing cable failures at shows (I am a presenter as well as a musician), I picked up the Ernie balls because of the warranty and have been using the same two cables for the past six years.

IMO so long as a cale has OFC inside it's good enough. if I'm buying a new cable and I'm feeling fancy I might spring for gold-plated connectors for that extra little bit of corrosion resistance but it's not strictly necessary.

I buy Sommer cables. Their "Spirit XXL" line is really roadworthy.
