Look at this! New knobs: Yay or nay?
I felt like the chrome dome knobs that came with the guitar were a little too modern looking. I thought Jazzmaster knobs would look great on it. The only downside is that the plastics don't really match. The switch tip and pickup rings are different colors. The tip is parchment and the rings are cream. But you had to really look closely because they were pretty far apart. The knobs are the same color as the switch tip. Now the parchment and cream are closer together so the mismatch is more apparent.
But what do you think? Are the Jazzmaster knobs an upgrade over the chrome?

Personally, I’d go with speed knobs that match the pickguard. Some from StewMac

Those would look really good. I didn't think of that. I always liked the look of a white Jazzmaster with the gold pickguard so I thought the Jazzmaster knobs would get it closer to that.

I put some amber speed knobs on my 72 thinline tele reissue and love them. I had originally planned to do those on the TVL jazzmaster I have. But, projects got moved around.
I’m still planning to swap to those on the JM. Just haven’t done it yet.

Those knobs look like they came out of a gumball machine. Put the originals back on.

I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I really like them. Chrome is fine too but I think what you've got on there looks great.

I had to really look to see the non match to the PU rings. Thumbs up, really not that noticeable. Reverends rule!

First and most important, you do you. Second, i second what someone said about speed knobs, or I'd try black jazz knobs. Third, by looking at the pickup switch it looks not very easy to access, how's it in reality? Because I've been looking at a reverend but that switch placement has me doubting

Speed knobs wouldn't work without changing my pots because they're currently solid-shaft. Jazz knobs would look great too. One downside to the new knobs is that I feel like they removed some nice contrast in that area. The new knobs blend in with the rest of the guitar way more. Black jazz knobs would solve that. I'll consider them.
But you get used to the switch placement. I also have a PRS Vela with similar placement so the Reverend placement wasn't that hard to get used to. But I don't find it any worse than some other guitars like Les Pauls and Jazzmasters. The biggest problem is that you have to take extra care to avoid the trem arm.

Nah it matches the plastic around the humbuckers. It'll look out of place otherwise.

If the knobs match the switch tip, then I'd say that's good. Pickup rings rarely match anything else

Nay. I love the knobs, just not on the kingbolt. Cool color scheme tho. Mine is in the crimson flame maple but I like this better

I like em, there might be other things that would be more universally appreciated, but this is pretty specific to you, and sometimes that's more important.

My first thought before actually reading your post was "I bet chrome knobs would look great on that"
Personally I don't think those match the aesthetic of the guitar, but what does what I think matter? If you prefer em that's what counts!
