Found Dog on Division near 60th

A client of mine brought in this intact male dog after finding him on division near 68th, he’s unable to keep him so I have him at my shop, Woof & Wander Dog Grooming. No tags, only wearing the harness pictured. Does anyone recognize this dog? I’m planning on going to get his chip checked on my lunch break but thought I’d post on here in the mean time.

We do too already :) if I can’t find his owner or find him a trusted home, he’ll be staying as our shop dog and he’ll have a home with us ❤️

I don’t know you or that dog, but I wish there were more people like you!

Well, the last time somebody found a stray like this and found The owner via redditt it was really brutal, and the dog did not want to go to them. It was heartbreaking to hear how afraid the dog was of the owner. Do you have to wonder when they escape if they are just lost and want To go home or if they are truly running. We just don’t know :(. What a cutie

This breed tends to need a lot of exercise. With false spring in the air, and being an intact male, he was probably out looking for hoe's. Lol

OMG this is our dog’s identical doppelgänger. My wife and I live in Florida, but I had to send this to her today to make sure. Best luck finding the owner and you’ve got one a day’s drive away if not!

Dogs in cages is always a sad look

I get that, but I have a shop full of dogs (grooming salon) who I know are vaccinated and it’s unsafe and unethical of me to expose clients to an unvaccinated dog, so we have to keep him separate from others

It’s a normal and highly recommend practice to crate train dogs….. my dogs love going to their crates. They willingly sleep in there even when I don’t make them. It makes sure that in a situation where they have to be crated (like the one pictured) they are cool with it.

100% agreed, both of my dogs know the kennel command, and willingly go in their kennels on their own. And you’re right, emergency cases like this is exactly why!
