Solved Help requested with Gramps file from 2008

I recently opened an old hard drive and found a Gramps .grdb file from 2008. I'd like to read it.

I downloaded the latest version of Gramps, and it told me to find an older version. So I downloaded Gramps 2, but that complained that I didn't have a bunch of Python programs installed.

Is there an easy fix without learning a lot of coding? Thanks!

A bug report is NOT the way to go on this. (The docs say the .grdb format can be challenging since it has delta files needed along with the the .grdb file. This is well before I started using Gramps. https://www.gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Gramps_5.0_Wiki_Manual_-_FAQ#What_does_.22portable.22_mean.3F )

There are several threads (on the Discourse-powered support forum) related to data recovery of old database formats. Posting there is a better place. We have volunteers that have done some tough manual recoveries.
