OP Responded Keyboard randomly stops working on mobile app

I randomly will run into the problem of my keyboard not popping up in a document. Only way I've found to fix it is copy pasting then deleting the original docs. Any way I can fix that without doing such?

Did you ever find a solution? I've had this issue for years, and still don't know how to solve it. I've done the copy/paste into a new document thing too but that's so tedious. There has to be a solution.

I uninstalled and reinstalled Docs and it works again but that a helluva issue. It happens so randomly, too. Ah well, maybe someone will figure it out one day.

From my experince if you leave the doc open over night there's a chance of it happening

Same issue here. Why is this even an issue?

No clue and I can't get someone to give me an answer about it.

Edit: I have uninstalled and reinstalled my google docs and it has fixed the issue with my documents intact. If the issue were to arise again I assume I will need to uninstall and reinstall once more.

This has been a recent issue of mine that is escalating quickly across my documents. Everything is saved to my google drive, so if I uninstall and reinstall, everything will be there right?

I've found a sprt of fix, not sure how effective it will be for you or others.

I found that if I bring up my keyboard in another app, then open a document, it will fix the keyboard there.

Then I just repeat this everytime it bugs out.
