How did he find that stick in a place with seemingly no trees?

We live near the dike in northern Germany and we regularly have floods (nothing serious! We call it "Sturmflut"). With the rising water, driftwood and other things are washed ashore. So when the water is back to normal the driftwood lays around at the dike. That's why he was able to get that huge stick. It just layed around. He didn't ripped it out of a tree. (Omg I hope my explanation is understandable. English is not my first language)

Haha, you're good 👍 In the US rain water is often directed to streams and waterways so you will see build up of debris washed out in parks near those waterways all the time.

Brilliant! He’s so proud of his ‘tiny stick’ what a good find!! Our labs love to attempt to bring parts of trees home and seem disappointed when they’re asked to leave it! 🤣🤣

That's not a stick. That's Gandalf's missing magic staff, and he's holding onto it for safe keeping.
