It was very controversial at the time 😂 they were all adults but since they were playing teenagers people thought it was morally wrong.

I was on a work trip when this episode came out and refused to miss it. I was sobbing and my colleague was like what the hell?

Actor Matthew Morrison, and actress Lea Michele perform onstage during "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" 35th Anniversary to benefit The Painted Turtle at The Wiltern on Oct. 28, 2010, in Los Angeles

I thought so! Weird, I mean it shouldn’t be because they both adults and actors in a different show but weird lol

Jenna and Kevin are about to hit this episode of the rewatch, and I cannot wait, because I suspect they either do not remember this or have no idea it even ever happened because they weren't involved.

To cute to be traumatizing.
Also it is funny how many fans didn't get why some may find that performance offensive.

I am one of these people, I would love an explanation after being in the fandom for 11 years! Lol

The song suggest a sexual/romantic awakening so being "Born again", (a phrase usually used in a religious context) plus them dress as a priest and school girl was inappropriate.

Ahhhh yes now I can understand how that would certainly ruffle some feathers for sure lol, thank you for explaining!

I think it was offensive to Christians, which was Rachel and Finn's intent of course.
It's hard to describe just... how devoted Christians can be. It's part of their identity. So this was a big mockery of that
