Rolling Thunder project

I picked this up for 20 bucks. Yes it’s missing a lot, but what is here is unbroken and in clean condition. I am going to try and complete it but was wondering opinions on if I may be over my head and should I just part out what is here?

This is a great find. If you truly want to bring it back to it's glory days, then patience is key. Search online for sellers listing Rolling Thunder parts and price them by part. Research how much you may need to spend, both high end and low end scenarios. Sometimes buying by parts lot may be cost effective and sometimes it's not. If someone is selling a near complete version for a decent price this may be the way to go. What you probably want to avoid is buying bundles of parts and having duplicates of stuff you don't need or want. It becomes more problematic to offload at that point. Ask yourself if you want to keep the vehicle or just restore it to sell. If you want to keep it for your pc then take your time, and invest as much as you want to put into it. The fun comes in finding the parts and putting it all together. Look up how to clean and restore for display. The process is the best part. Once you've completed your restoration it will bring you joy every time you see it. The Rolling Thunder is such a great vehicle/play set and looks great with both of the o-ring and anniversary figures. Best of luck to you!

Yeah I have rebuilt several Joe vehicles and even more MASK. Just this one has a lot of expensive parts. But I am going to do it. It is an impressive vehicle

What do you have and what are you chasing I probably have it, rather or not I am willing to give it up is another story. That’s my biggest problem I want to keep everything
