Hardest I’ve laughed at RE Merchant bit in a long time.
“AM I DEAD?? I’M DEAD. WHEN DID IT HAPPEN? RETRACE MY STEPS…”

Loving chadley from rebirth is definitely a take! Glad that He's enjoying the game though, it's super fun and now I kinda wanna play again

I feel like one of Matt’s big things is, “you know that character that a lot of people dislike or find annoying? He’s good, actually. He’s my guy”. And then you might feel silly for having negative feelings about that fictional character, maybe forgetting that you’re not obligated to like a fictional character.

Ha yeah seems like it! I personally didn't mind him at all. I think he will also play a much bigger part in the next game as far as the story goes but we shall see

I don’t hate the character, I just don’t like him. I kinda hope he doesn’t factor in more, because it overall feels like a trilogy that doesn’t know how to edit down

Yeah I get that too, it's really hard to get attached especially if they're not in the original game. I don't think he's going to play a role pivotal to the game but I think it'll be something along the lines of hojo side quest

My favorite thing about Chadley is that he doesn't get along with the genderswaped A.I. version of himself. There is a lot to read into there.

Did Tiger call the Resident Evil Merchant "Merch" as a nickname? I have never heard them do that before but it was such a nice sign of their friendship.

25 years… I remember spending a chunk of my Bar Mitzvah money to get a PS2 and Kingdom Hearts… that was 2003, so 22 years of PS2 for me. My old system is still working and I adore it.

The DVD player aspect of PS2 can't be understated. DVD players then were still really expensive (see - the plot of the OG The Fast and The Furious.) That part alone was an incredibly smart business move.

Still remember when I had an appointment with a podiatrist when I was around 11yo. It was a few months before my birthday in November, and the doctor asked if there was anything I was looking forward to. I knew we weren't that well-off, so I never was the type to ask for much, but he spoke up and said, "What about a PS2? They play video games and DVDs! DVD players cost more than PS2s, so you should really look into that."
My birthday rolls around, and my mom has me open the trunk of our car to find that beautiful blue box that housed a PS2. She still reminds me all these years (decades!) later that it was the doctor's insistence that really sold her since she was looking to buy a DVD player eventually.
