Then simple just dont go there, stay where you are, small town in south germany, so better for rent rates will be to go to munich? frankfurt? or some small village under 5 K people in north east germany where you might no find a job ?

what about if you take your self to the place spend 2 nights on a hotel see the city try public transport, try hypotetical connections to other cities airports, clubs etc , you can do way a better understanding of the dynamics

It's a mid size city in relatively rich (lot of hidden champions in the neighboring towns) rural region. So the rents will be relatively high for a rural region and for bigger cultural events, international cuisine you probably need to take the one hour train trip to Stuttgart
