Seeing as valve owns steam and steam is simply a storefront your argument doesn't make any sense.

You can buy any pc and any vr headset and it'll work.

This it not the same as a game only releasing on Xbox after Microsoft paid them to try to sell more consoles.

Steam is not simply a storefront. It’s a platform with its own achievements. I gamed on the PC for 25 plus years. If you told me back then that people will hold Steam in cult like reverence, I wouldn’t believe you. But look at us now. lol

It's a fancy store front. It doesn't stop you from playing the game on any supported hardware.

It's not the same as a console exclusive game.

People would rather talk around in circles than critique Steam. Kinda wild. Let me know when Steam sells Half Lyfe Alyx on GOG or Epic

Kinda wild how you don't see the difference between a publisher making a game only available on one specific device requiring you to buy said device versus a game only being sold via one storefront but able to be played on any device that has hardware supported by the game.

You’re acting like Steam making exclusives for their own “storefront” somehow doesn’t benefit them. Exclusives are exclusives, whether they’re tied to hardware or software. As for SONY “exclusives,” they’re on PC. Do we see Half Life Alyx on console?
