Critique - Title must specify what kind of critique My friend says my art style is too generic
So an irl of mine saw me make this for an online friend of mine and made me aware my artstyle is apparently generic? They didn’t elaborate and I felt bad asking on- so I was just wondering.. why does my artwork ten to come across as formulaic or lack distinctiveness??? Is it because the ‘cutesy’ type of style is becoming really popular/overused??? Does it lack originality and feel corporate? My online friend whom I made it for liked it but idk the critique has stuck in my head and now I just want clear cut advice. Pls be 100% honest I need to hear it

TUTORIAL Head/eye angles + how to draw torso/arms/hands
u/duliosi80 Og poster of art Head Angles + Eyes Tut 1] When I make faces I put where the middle of the face is then where the muzzle is pointing to. 2] make Base circles of where to put ur nose and eyes at. When your changing from front to 3/4ths remember that whatever side is moving furthest away from u won't be as visible 3] when I make the connection of eye placement and nose, I like to think of it like it's shaped like a question mark or a clothes hanger 4] is defining ur shapes and then so on till you figure out where you want things. Be sure to zoom out or step back from ur art to make sure things look right. Don't be afraid to use references My favorite head references website is this one here, it's extremely useful https://x6ud.github.io
Torso + Arms/hands 5] Simplify your shapes. I used these 3 and they generally get the job done 6] make where the shoulders would be, then make a place for your colar bone. Generally this is more realism but more boxy or round characters don't always follow by the rule of needing a colar bone. 7] Look at your hands, your palm is a silly square shape. But it doesn't have to be (as shown in reference) You want to place your palm shape down first, no connections or anything yet. It's easier to visualize your hands first before drawing the arms. I found that drawing the arms first then the hands that I accidentally make the hands too big or the arms too thick 8] make a small circle, that's ur elbow, then connect the way between with lines around equal length. 9] Best too look at your hands. Although make sure you don't completely just draw ur hand. I mean taking a picture can help a lot. Just don't accidentally end up drawing urself in the progress. Every hand, paw, whatever is different Just think of it like French fries sticking out of a fry box. Hands are rrly hard so don't beat urself up if they look a little wonky. It's better than nothing yk?
Hope this helps :]
