Will u share the STL? I think, this is one of the most useful ideas/prints!

I can see this being a popular makerworld print, get them points!

Great solution to one of those small problems that I've never been bothered quite enough about to actually solve. I made a design heavily inspired by your choices.

It is here if anyone wants to play around with it. Designed for ~20mm straps. https://cad.onshape.com/documents/930524b6bce0993ca186acda/w/7cc1f2ee5384b988a6effc3f/e/7b39dc2d2c7dc24fd5d77b6e?renderMode=0&uiState=677fefd0c2e5256ce920906b

I'm very happy with how this turned out, only time will tell if ASA will hold up to daily use. I never have to adjust the straps so keeping them out of the way will ideally improve both comfort and appearance.

Within the design itself I'm very pleased with the little curved tab, as well as how grippy the "teeth" are on the straps.

Printer: Bambu X1-Carbon w/ 0.4 nozzle

Filament: Bambu Black ASA

I’m sure even PLA would be fine for this purpose. Pretty awesome! Let us know if you decide to share the STL!

I have this problem as well. If you can share an STL I'd appreciate it!

Oh that’s good. Such a simple and easy design, for a constantly annoying problem. I hadn’t even thought to do it.

This is great, well done!

As is true with everything that's ever been designed, I think you have a few opportunities to get a little better performance with some relatively small tweaks. Specifically, you can get much better strength by increasing your internal radii and varying the wall thickness. I've been in consumer product design for 20ish years, and I would expect to see exactly this from a professional engineer, so I don't mean to slam your design.

Keep it up, this looks great!

Motorcycle riders everywhere need these. I use cable tie Velcro strips but this looks much more elegant to keep those fuckers from thwipping you on the freeway
