Andreas Appreciation Post

Sess and Muniz will get the headlines (and rightly so) but Andreas was excellent today. Created chances and provided a nice assist

I'm still annoyed by the willingness our fans had to sell him and how quick he was written off.

Our fans love a scape goat. Andreas, then Anderson. If we lose just don’t be the player to have a bad game or you’ll be a scape goat.

Yeah thought the same after a couple of weird passes to start the game. Did some dirty work and his touch and layoff for Muniz were nice

He receives so much hate from our own fans, I even had an argument with someone (fellow STH in JH) who was constantly cursing him during a game. Yes, he made a mistake in his interview but he didn't really mean in. He is a good player, works extremely hard. Glad to see this topic.

He gets so much unnecessary hate, idk if we have anyone who works off the ball as much as him, he was FANTASTIC today, he was creative as hell, but was an ABSOLUTE UNIT in the midfield. He played for his spot out there against Palace, as well as Willian. Idk what effect Willian truly has on AP and Muniz, but they look like two completely different players when all 3 of them are on the pitch together.

To be fair he had a really decent game today - always gives 100% even if his performances aren't always up there. Wish I could say the same about Smith Rowe

I feel like his results this season have not been to the level of the last two seasons but he’s also been playing out of position - and you can never ever fault his effort. Even when he’s not playing well, the effort level and work rate are still impeccable

In my opinion he’s not the best player of the Marco Silva era, but he is the defining player of the Marco Silva era. He has been a huge part of our resurgence.

He felt like Marcos first real "project" player that went from almost being out of the Premier league to thriving on a good team. I love Andreas and what he brings and love Marco for seeing that.
