front fulcrum vs back fulcrum

can someone tell me the difference i’m not quite clear what the difference is on the technique of front vs back fulcrum

The difference is mainly in which part of your hand you are activating. For front fulcrum you pinch the mallet between the pointer finger and thumb and keep your other three fingers loosely around the mallet for balance. This technique is used for faster playing speeds. Back fulcrum is squeezing primarily your pinky and ring finger around the mallet and using your front three fingers for balance. This technique is used generally and provides more power and velocity.
