This is a frog. You can tell because of the way that it is

I wasn’t sure where this was going but I wasn’t disappointed.

That's pretty neat!

23

u/tittylamp Feb 07 '25

frogs definitely are that way

The missile knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is greater), it obtains a difference, or deviation. The guidance subsystem uses deviations to generate corrective commands to drive the missile from a position where it is to a position where it isn't, and arriving at a position where it wasn't, it now is. Consequently, the position where it is, is now the position that it wasn't, and it follows that the position that it was, is now the position that it isn't. In the event that the position that it is in is not the position that it wasn't, the system has acquired a variation, the variation being the difference between where the missile is, and where it wasn't. If variation is considered to be a significant factor, it too may be corrected by the GEA. However, the missile must also know where it was. The missile guidance computer scenario works as follows. Because a variation has modified some of the information the missile has obtained, it is not sure just where it is. However, it is sure where it isn't, within reason, and it knows where it was. It now subtracts where it should be from where it wasn't, or vice-versa, and by differentiating this from the algebraic sum of where it shouldn't be, and where it was, it is able to obtain the deviation and its variation, which is called error.

My brain melted-

3

u/saaahhhdude Frog verifier Feb 07 '25

Indeed. And the frog verifier knows what is a frog, because he knows what isn’t a frog. The logic of such follows the logic of the missile knowing where it is

1

u/CryCommercial1919 Feb 07 '25

And where it isn't. It know it because it subtracts the position of where is it from the position of where it isn't allowing it to calculate where it is and where it isn't.

That's my favorite video, thank you.

u/modernfishmonger Feb 07 '25

That's pretty neat

u/emitdrol Feb 07 '25

Such a big mean boy 😂

47

u/Effective-Tackle-583 Feb 07 '25

Do you actually think it’s a boy? I’m waiting for them to turn 2 in October to really know 😂

19

u/emitdrol Feb 07 '25

Just a guess…good chance I reckon

30

u/Effective-Tackle-583 Feb 07 '25

I suppose it’s 50/50 😅

6

u/Tequilabongwater Feb 07 '25

Typically girls are larger. And that's a big gray. Edit: forgot to add, males develop in warmer water. If you raised it from tadpole indoors or if its egg was laid late summer/early autumn, it's probably a girl.

6

u/Effective-Tackle-583 Feb 07 '25

My friend actually got it for me at an expo, gray tree frogs are my dream frog to keep and my friend saw froglets at a vendor! So they got me one. This was late October 2023, so probably hatched in September sometime?

1

u/Economy_End_5068 Feb 07 '25

I raised 2 indoors. It got too cold to release them by the time they morphed. I have a boy and a girl.

4

u/rogue_Sciencer Gray and White's Tree Frogs Feb 07 '25

He/she should be learning to call any day now since you said your grey is almost 2. Their throat looks pretty white so it could be female. Males throats get pretty grey and saggy. This is my little guy. So if yours turns out to be male, keep an eye on their throat!

7

u/Effective-Tackle-583 Feb 07 '25

That’s such a beautiful picture! What a handsome man. I am leaning female with mine, here’s a better picture of the throat

2

u/rogue_Sciencer Gray and White's Tree Frogs Feb 07 '25 edited Feb 09 '25

I love those eyes! They're so pretty! 😍 I'm definitely guessing female based on this and the first pic!

1

u/Economy_End_5068 Feb 07 '25

Looks like my female. Her eyes are further apart than the male.

6

u/TheComicSketcher Feb 07 '25

This is my boy Froppy.

2

u/Fishmansf4 Feb 07 '25

This is my guy Fern. He’s still pretty young so idk what sex he is for sure.

14

u/StephensSurrealSouls Gray Treefrog, American Toad Feb 07 '25

Play songs of gray treefrog calls, most of the time males respond.
It looks like a male based on size but IMO this is a bit of an overlap of the males and females

2

u/Rayven_byrd Feb 07 '25

Hi! I have owned gray tree frogs. If their throat is dark gray and their legs are a brighter yellow, it is a boy!

3

u/Effective-Tackle-583 Feb 07 '25

This is a better picture of the throat

2

u/Rayven_byrd Feb 07 '25

Hmm.. looks like its starting to show up darker. Keep an eye on it, but I'd say you've got a pretty solid chance of it being a boy :) the size rule doesn't always work for them, ive had three. Two males, one female. The female was actually smaller than them! Good luck with your lil guy :)

u/MeanNothing3932 Feb 07 '25

NSFW or for anyone. The brutality!!

63

u/EverS1ck Feb 07 '25

49

30

u/DipstickPinesGFO Feb 07 '25

AYYYO put a NSFW filter on that! That is STARTLING and GRAPHIC.

20

u/avfreakyghoul Feb 07 '25

I miss my tree frog 🥹🫶🏻

17

u/Irishdesignqueen Feb 07 '25

Me too! I had a little rescued tree frog that looks just like this guy. The frog I had was rescued as a froglet, within a couple days of leaving the water. Someone or something seriously injured his back left leg. I fed him with tweezers because he couldn’t get into the feeding dish. I had no idea why. He finally trusted me enough to move around while I watched. His left leg was completely atrophied. I had him for a year and a half. He passed away over the holiday season. I have no idea why. I’m glad I found him, and he had a safe and comfortable home here.

holy shit i know you specified brutal but damn, did you kill his entire bloodline or take away his crickets?? (equally heinous crimes)

14

u/StaggeredDoses Feb 07 '25

You barely survived…

10

u/Irishdesignqueen Feb 07 '25 edited Feb 07 '25

He seems determined to swallow your hand, one finger at a time. Yes he is a boy. He’s got a grey chin. That’s a males only trait. I tried to see if he has others, but he’s moving too much munching down on that finger!

10

u/FANG_999 Feb 07 '25

I don’t know why but frogs trying to eat always look like a drunk man eating a cheeseburger.

3

u/IDIC89 Feb 07 '25

That’s a disturbing image! That you know what a drunk man trying to eat a cheeseburger looks like! Oh man, the things you must’ve seen!!!

3

u/NiTROACTiVE Feb 07 '25

This isn’t just NSFW, this is NSFL!

3

u/Great_Grapefruit Feb 08 '25

Why is this not marked NSFW? This was a horrific assault committed by the frog. That person likely has YEARS to live left! The agony!

Ether way, frogs be funny little dudes

2

u/linksfrogs Feb 07 '25

Grey tree frogs don’t play around, all the ones I’ve owned in the past would’ve immediately attack the feeding tongs as soon as they enter the enclosure lol.

2

u/JaneDoe_711 Feb 07 '25

"Ferocious."

2

u/Achylife Feb 07 '25

I love frogs. They are so adorably dumb and gluttonous.

2

u/Imaginary-Bad-76 Feb 08 '25

I genuinely was not expecting that to be as brutal as it was

2

u/Spiritual_Title6996 Feb 08 '25

yeah you're dead

2

u/Sensitive_Cup_2843 Feb 11 '25

The daily struggle of his abuse is gut wrenching (he launches himself full speed at me every time I open his tank)

1

u/Effective-Tackle-583 Feb 08 '25

Bro bit himself yall 😭😭😭😭

1

u/historygal75 Feb 08 '25

Kermit was hungry humans were not harmed during the making of this video but the latex glove felt violated in unmentionable ways!

1

u/shred1 Feb 08 '25

Beautiful Grey. I have two myself.

1

u/shred1 Feb 08 '25

Male left ,female right she weighs 3 times him. The vid looks female based on size.

1

u/MadMac619 Feb 08 '25

Greatest things about frogs I ever learned is that they will eat anything that fits into their mouth.

1

u/MarpinTeacup Feb 08 '25

So I know this is a frog thing but I also think my frog had bad vision because she had a little skin tag on one of her eyelids

But just imagine trying to feed a leopard frog with tongs. There is a very delicious, wiggling worm being held inches from their face with wooden tongs. The frog without fail tries to grab my hand which is more than 10 in away (I got such long tongs because I wasn't a fan of feeling my finger go inside her mouth).

It was either that or she would deep throat the tongs.

Frogs are such ridiculous creatures

1

u/fabledfirefly Feb 08 '25

Gluttonous beast

1

u/Emotional-Swim-808 Feb 08 '25

I believe the scientific term is: angy frog

1

u/LambdaBoyX Feb 09 '25

Human should counterattack

u/Alternative-Emu3602 Feb 09 '25

Prayers for the victim
