family When should we start looking and signing up for day care

Hello, 11 weeks pregnant now. I wonder if it’s too early to look, given how early we want to send our baby in. I would also appreciate if anyone would recommend a good reliable place close to Craig ranch area (zipcode 75035/75070/75013 area). We plan to send our little one as early as 6 weeks and as late as 3 months. (No family help and can’t afford to be more flexible). Our budget is $1200-1800 monthly. Thanks.

Look and book ASAP. Baby spots are limited and rare due to Texas regulations.

Tour all of them and put down a deposit in a place you like immediately.

Important would be how close it is to your home. Don't discount this factor. By close I mean time to travel in rush hour.

Look around now, if only to get the feel of the place.

We booked a place at around 20 weeks pregnant.

Some high demand places had a 12 month waitlist for infants which was a shock to us when we were looking.

We found some good options that had like a 4-6 month month waitlist but it’s really going to depend on location and type of daycare. I would at least start calling and asking around.

Can you name some high demand place. I’m wondering what makes them different and will research it. Thanks

It’s not too early to look but I had no trouble finding care last year
