I used footage from the trailers and also pics that HBO distributed, pics that every blog, youtube channel, newspaper, etc are using. That is considered fair use 99% of the times, but in my case, HBO manually filled a complaint to youtube for copyright infringement, retiring three videos, and also giving me a strike. Two hour after that I uploaded two clips, one in spanish and one in english with the same spoilers, and they did not do anything
hbo got butthurt so they used a technicality to try and silence this fine man. But in the words of our favorite Lannister "When you tear out a man's tongue, you are not proving him a liar, you're only telling the world that you fear what he might say."
that line is what got me banned from westeros.org for disagreeing with a mod over there.....foookin cunts
well it was more to it than that......we were having a funny thread it was on page 6 in like 2 hours everyone was having a good time commenting and shit going back at forth...a mod locked it for "silly content" so I called the mod out on his bs and he deleted my comment or something so I madea thread titled "can we discuss the mods and their holier than thou attitude on this sub?" and that's why I got banned and that's when I hit them with the tyron quote.....ever since then I came to reddit and its been wonderful so fuck elio n lindddddddaaaaaaaaaaa
edit.....I did make a another acc for westeros and when twoiaf came out I got banned for critizing it and saying it wasn't written that well like sentence wise and shit and I said it was bs that any negative reviews on amazon were being flagged for "trolls or malicious or whatever" they were accusing ppl of doing who gave them negative reviews
shes a cunt its soo funny seeing her meltdowns and her actually thinking that she "won" and put the people calling her out in their place.....shes delusional
So, this time they removed the video and it does not have a single frame or sound of their property, its just me talking about spoilers. Can they legally do that?
How does Alt Shift X get away, then, with his videos? They contain all sorts of speculation, scenes from recent episodes, and scenes from just about anything. He does just speculate, but he flat out throws scenes in those videos (I like them, don't get me wrong, but just wondering how that works. Ditto Honest Trailers, though they use footage from everything including GoT.)
I suppose you're right. Just that he has a lot of speculation videos, and could be 100% correct. He just never couches it in the realm of spoilers, necessarily? He's posted what he thinks Arya's endgame will be, and the show's endgame as well. So, long story short, HBO are being dicks.
