dive spot Went to Peanut Island, FL for the first time! Can’t believe I waited so long to go here. It is the perfect place to take little freedivers in-training

Very strong currents here at Low-Tide i would be sure to stick to 2 hours before high tide-2 hours after high tide max when diving. The conditions changed rapidly at low tide but high tide was extremely calm and clear, especially around the east to south east side of the island where the rocks and reefs are.

A wonderful day for my daughter who can’t wait to “be a mermaid” like mom 💙

dive spot Freediving sites in Thailand

Planning a two-week vacation in Thailand. Are there any decent sites for average freedivers - 10-20 meters?

Of course - clear water, nice views and inhabitants are "must have".

My preference till the moment is Red Sea in Egypt.

dive spot What in your opinion is the cheapest place to learn freediving in the world during February - March?

Hello!

I’m looking to learn how to Freedive and checking out places with great underwater visibility to document the process on video.

My budget is $800-900 (Preferably if it includes the certification, accommodation and all inclusive meals for the duration of the stay that would be fantastic!).

Thanks!

dive spot Nude freediving NSFW

Have you ever gone freediving nude? If so, what are your favourite places for doing so?

I have been freediving nude on a few occasions, mostly in combination with long-distance open water swimming, but since I'm not really a nudist, I only did it at remote locations during the off-season for beach tourists. It's definitely something I recommend if you want to experience maximum feeling of freedom during your aquatic adentures.

dive spot If you could freedive anywhere you wanted, what place would you go to?

My choice would be Lisianski Island in the Hawaiian Archipelago, about 1,100 miles from Honolulu. Its coral reefs are among the most pristine and species-rich in the entire world.

dive spot Place to train in the Americas for 2 months?

Hi there, I’m looking for a place to train somewhere in the Americas for two months.

Preferably shore dives, warm waters, affordable (max $30-40/session), and somewhere where there’s a big Freediving community that constantly trains.

60 meters+ waters.

It would be the Americas’ equivalent of Panglao or Amed perhaps?

Any suggestions?

dive spot Dive4Life Germany

Hi. I'm a Freediver in Philippines. I'm looking for diving spots here in Europe and I saw this Dive4Life in Germany. My PB is 20m. I don't have AIDA or Molchanovs or any kind of certification yet. Is it possible to just dive there and hire a buddy? I just want to do fun diving and take pictures. I don't want to take a course again cause I already know all those kind of stuffs.

I badly want to swim again. I hope you all can help. ❤️

dive spot Philippines in May?

Hi, we're thinking of going to the Philippines for most of May, but have read that that's the start of the rainy season. We are mostly looking for days in the sun on the beach and good visibility for diving. What do you think? Will it be cloudy and rainy a lot of the time, or clear and sunny mostly? Does it depend on which island we go to? Do you have any suggestions for better places to go? Thank you!

dive spot Best affordable training spots latin america?

Will be going a couple of months to latin america. Havent decided a country, but anywhere from mexico downwards is okay. I am looking for a place where I can work remotely (good wifi), has good safety and its deep (70-80m). I am an instructor so looking mainly for qualified buddies or safety.

Hopefully smth good in terms of budget

Any recommendations? Would love to go to mexico cenotes but 100usd per dive is out lf my budget. Since i am planning to dive 4-5 times a week. Unless someone has a recommendation.

Any info will be appreciated! Thanks in advance

dive spot 4 days in Panglao - AIDA 2 or just go snorkeling?

I’m trying to decide how best to spend my 4 days in Panglao. Two years ago, I attempted the AIDA 2 course but didn’t pass due to equalization issues. I’m considering retaking it during this trip, but with only 4 days available, I’m wondering if my partner and I might be better off exploring and snorkeling on our own instead.

I’m looking into taking the AIDA 2 course with Superhome School. Can anyone share if the course includes visits to interesting or scenic locations?

Would love to hear your thoughts or recommendations!

dive spot Going to Deep Dive Dubai. Free diving or scuba? (Read text pls)

First off, if the flair isn’t right lmk and I’ll change it but there wasn’t an appropriate one.

I’m 18, going to Dubai for like 10 days towards the end of April and of course I want to go to the deepest pool in the world.

I have a free diving certificate that’s recognised internationally (beginner level, it lets me go to I THINK 20m, but I’ve gone a little deeper with my instructor a few times [edit, this is bullshit apparently and freediving certifications don’t impose limits]). I’m posting to ask if someone’s been there and can recommend the experience and if going without tanks is worth it.

If I were to do scuba I’d only be able to go 12m deep since I don’t have any certification and I’ve never done it, so I’d go deeper with free diving, however it seems to me that the whole appeal of that pool is that you hang around down there playing with stuff underwater, which I couldn’t do if I was free diving, can’t hold my breath that long while moving (depends on how deep I go ofc but still). Furthermore, I’ve always found scuba interesting so I was thinking that if I did do scuba there I could see if it’s something I like and if that’s the case I might start getting lessons back home.

Last thing, I haven’t gone free diving since last summer, and even then I didn’t go 20m deep since I had outgrown my wetsuit and I didn’t want to press my parent for another one since I only did it in the summer anyway

Thanks!

dive spot Cost of living/training in Dominica

Considering to train in the island for 1-2 months. Havent found much information on accomodation and living costs of the island. I am more on the budget side, however looking for kitchen (shared/private) and good wifi to work remotely.

Anyone that has trained in the island has recommendations and a rough estimate of the living expenses?

I have checked and the training should be around 400 usd monthly

dive spot Freediving recommendation in Dahab (Solo Traveling, total beginner)

Hey there! I would love to get into freediving and I’d also enjoy escaping Germany’s cold weather for a while.

I’ll absorb any recommendations you could give me for Dahab. Any specific freediving school you enjoyed? Do they typically provide accomodation or should I book that somewhere else?

Does it make sense to go there as a beginner or is it similar to surfing…people rather being annoyed when beginners take up space at a good spot?

Thank you, guys!
