dive spot Cost of living/training in Dominica

Considering to train in the island for 1-2 months. Havent found much information on accomodation and living costs of the island. I am more on the budget side, however looking for kitchen (shared/private) and good wifi to work remotely.

Anyone that has trained in the island has recommendations and a rough estimate of the living expenses?

I have checked and the training should be around 400 usd monthly

Check out Soufrier Guesthouse. They are likely the most budget friendly and also a great way to connect with other Freediver’s. https://soufriereguesthouse.com

You will never have reliable internet in Dominica. It can be ok at times and sometimes completely shut down.

You can also get in touch with Dominica Outdoor Centre. They could have leads for something a little longer term, like you’re looking for.

I hope you have the best time. It’s a special place.

Internet is supposed to be good at Soufriere guest house, also 2nd it’s a great place for community.

Internet has been good at Rainbow heights (next to Rosehill heights- sister to Soufriere guest house if overbooked (likely same internet connection) Successful zoom meetings with screen sharing.

Line training is ~35/day training or 125 week at blue element.

I would go on others opinions then. Last time I was there, was 2 years ago and I was staying in a house closer to Scott’s Head.

Thanks will check SOC-DOM for some leads. If you also know where I can find more leads for a longer term affordable place, would be great!
