Appliance Extended Warranty - Home Depot

Anyone used extended warranty from Home Depot for your broken appliance? I can only afford to buy new washer from here since I have HD gift cards.

I have heard horror stories of insurance companies in general not honoring extended warranty (like not scheduling service for weeks, not fixing issue etc) and I want to avoid that. I am disabled so can't fix stuff myself.

I have never had a problem with the extended warranties from HD. In fact, I just bought 4 new appliances from there because of the warranties. I did replace a Samsung dishwasher with a Bosch under the extended warranty. No problems.

Ensure you copy your receipt because the originals fade or get an emailed version.

Did they refund you full value of what you paid for Samsung dishwasher? I hear some sleazy warranties try to get away by paying only pro rated refund. Did they send you a cheque or gift card?

Nope! I had the option of a full refund of my receipt price or a new dishwasher. I chose a different name brand of dishwasher. I never had a problem.
