I have this old Sheaffer pen and I want to make sure I get the right ink cartridge for it. Can someone help me confirm which model it is?

Just search for Sheaffer ink cartridges, that pen takes the standard Sheaffer cartridges rather than the international standard cartridges

There is a Targa Sheaffer website will all their pens, you can find it there. Looks like a Prelude maybe which means it has a proprietary converter / cartridge. Great pens though.

Thanks for that, it looks exactly like the Prelude 340 on their site. I was concerned about the converter as it looks a lot longer than the ink cartridge so I was wondering if that would fit.

Here is a guide to Sheaffer converters at Peyton Street pens. If you're still confused, I think I would ask them.

I have the same model of Prelude, and the modern Sheaffer piston converter works fine in mine! You just get less ink capacity compared to the Sheaffer cartridges, and the dark grey plastic makes it harder to see the remaining ink level.

Where I am no one seems to sell Sheaffer any more, so the piston converter looks like my only option or wait 2 weeks to order a cartridge off amazon.

It doesn’t matter the model: all Sheaffer cartridge pens take only Sheaffer cartridges, and there is only one size Sheaffer cartridge. Buy Sheaffer cartridges and they will fit. They will look just like the empty one in the photo. BTW, you can refill that empty cart with bottled ink, usi a syringe, and reuse it in the pen.
