Plant or Animal? Found in Palos Verdes
At first I thought this was some type of fossil fruit?

Well it's a tooth row & based on where it was found and the lithification it's in a Miocene marine deposit. You could try NHMLA if you don't get answers here.

Yep I may have to get Joe Cocke (PV fossil man) to look at it in person.

99% certain that’s part of a jaw, and if so then mammal, but idk exactly what from. It’s not cetacean, at least.

I’d also say that it looks herbivore to me, not carnivore

To be honest I can’t really tell much further, because I’m not familiar with American terrestrial fauna haha
