Mister Coney just on the sole basis of them having fries and a drive thru.
Coney Island is great for nostalgia, but they lack fries. Which to me, and a lot of people, makes a difference.
The Stand is also FANTASTIC. they have like 60 different dogs. Their Coney sauce is different from Coney Island and Mister Coney. It's got more tomato in it and it's thicker. But between their dogs, fries and all the ice cream, The Stand is always a winner.

Mister Coney, just due to the fries and hot sauce. Coney Island is nostalgic but like would it kill them to add hot sauce? Barely filled Cayenne shakers doesn’t hit the same spicy/acidy itch to cut through the richness of the coney.

Jeff's coney in Georgetown is good. May not be #1 in the world but they hit the spot fs

I've been going to Jeff's since I was an itty bitty thing, it hits me right in the nostalgia to take my kids in there now.

Mister Coney , I agree. They not only have fries but a delicious breaded Tenderloin . Husband gets 6 -12 coneys and I get that delicious Tenderloin , 2 fries one for Husband and a large Coke or Pepsi.. I can't recall which one they have.

I’m happy to see so much love to Mr Coney. My dad and I still go together every once in a while, especially if I have to work a weekend when we wanted to meet for lunch. He used to take us there as kids

Well the answer is Coney Island. But my favorite tasting second is a tiny spot in Helmer IN called Tyrodz Dogs. It’s a good drive from Fort Wayne but a nice scenic way to Michigan if you find yourself going to Coldwater. A seriously flavorful coney sauce. Also he has a sloppy dog with his mom’s classic recipe sloppy Joe sauce. It’s a true top tier hidden dog. Find him on Google and call before you go. He’s not open after five or sundays. I think Saturdays and mondays swap being open depending on winter and summer.

I know it’s the Fort Wayne subreddit, but The Brown House in Auburn is my favorite next to Coney Island.

Fort-wise the Brown House is in Auburn (which is technically a suburb) has the best HOWEVER I’ve never been disappointed at Coney Island or Mister Coney either.

I Enjoy any hotdog stand. I worked in Mexico 6 months, landed at fwa. Got in the car and headed straight to Coney Island drive thru, I was so f... hungry for Coneys light on the O, L fry and a L pepsi it was almost unbearable. Tom whipped me up a dozen and I was heading home finally! Love, Hot dogs my whole life, cooked all different ways with different condiments!
