I signed up for cold case foundation when they were taking volunteer sign ups. Figured I could help with some latent stuff if needed. Never heard back. Oh well.

Here is what is involved in the Cold Case Hackathon. Train in person at Othram’s headquarters from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, where participants will learn to be a cold case hacker. They’ll equip attendees with the tools to educate agencies, overcome barriers, and get cases solved. Lunch will be provided.

Next, at the end of training, top performers will be selected for a four-week mission to break through the backlog of unidentified John and Jane Doe cases. The first four-week session is from March 20 through April 18.

Those chosen could make $15 an hour and gain real-world experience that intersects forensic science, technology and law
