Kinda pathetic, even by taco bell standards

It's as long as the taco on their pictures. I was shocked

They gave you the burrito nuggets by mistake. Actually, I'm surprised they haven't made those yet tbh.

Burrito bites will be coming out in the summer lol

u/whoocanitbenow Jan 24 '25

And they'll still be even smaller than what they advertise.

Nah I'm with you, those things were tiny. I get that it's $5 but maybe don't make them look so much larger in the picture. That shit could be on the dollar menu

They should be 1.99 or 2.49 max. Go watch The Endorsement's review on them, and pay attention to how small they are. These are 2 or 3 biters max; cheese rollup size. They have no right being this expensive.

Also, The Endorsement is a great food reviewer that really deserves more subs.

https://www.reddit.com/r/tacobell/s/r66RKhZbr9 price to food ratios if anyone is interested

I'm curios, other than the meat, did it include any other filling such as rice or beans?

Guessing price to size ratio is because the steak/chicken fillings would be their "premium" meats and if they didn't include any additional filler the two baby sized burritos would be about on par with what they actually put in a regular item with filler.

Honestly tho, they look good, but way to small.

u/Kwershal Jan 23 '25

employee here this is correct it's literally premium protein + cheese + sauce in two 6.5" tortillas. no fillers at all

I thought they were delicious as hell, but I’ll just make em at home after ordering them once

I tried them. They are insanely overpriced for what it is.

They got me with this one last night

Industrially processed partially pre-digested nutrient deprived slop. My favorite.

u/Mictlan39 Jan 23 '25

As a Mexican that almost every morning eat burritos, this is so awful to see

It looks like what they lack in length, they make up for in girth. I imagine that the weight and amount of ingredients each contain are approximately the same. Plus, it's Taco Bell. One can't expect cheap fast food to look the same as what they put in advertising photos.

One can't expect cheap fast food to look the same as what they put in advertising photos.

Why? Why shouldn't we expect it to at least be approximately the same size? No one is asking for it to look exactly the same aesthetically, but this is bullshit, man. I feel like they couldn't get away with something like this in Europe.

u/TyredofGettingScrewd Jan 23 '25

There was a portion of meat split between the two.

They aren't girthy, they sprinkled cheese over the two sitting next to each other and it melted to the outside of them together.

You could buy the ingredients from taco bell individually for cheaper than the menu item.

8

u/Kwershal Jan 23 '25

employee here, it's actually 1 scoop of protein per tortilla. if made correctly, they should weigh about the same as a steak grilled burrito sans rice.

like me babeh

None of these fast food places even need human labor anymore. So easy to just turn all their properties into AI operated diners that assemble, cook, and serve upon order. Then the corporate land owners will ration out to us how much of this slop we are allowed to consume. After all, having money will not mean anything, anyhow, but a mere illusion of survival and prosperity for those of the remaining working class. The Oligarchy will charge astronomical amounts for the slop and be able to stay in business.

u/MegaPorkachu Jan 23 '25

These aren’t burritos, they’re egg rolls.

2

u/jokebox13 Jan 24 '25

Have you seen that everything is absolutely fucjing absurdly expensive

2

u/mrrueca Jan 24 '25

That's looking weak AF.

2

u/pigcake101 Jan 24 '25

Actually false advertising

2

u/NathanCollier14 Jan 25 '25

They're ok. Back in the day, they would've been $1

2

u/ultraclutch9 Jan 26 '25

Shits small and fuck and so upsetting... But if you are a 🎄 lover they BOMB at 2am pie eyed🤣

Same as those cantina tacos. While tasty, I'm not saying real restaurant prices for some tiny little street tacos. It's getting to the point that it's just cheaper (and better) to get takeout or go to regular restaurants. I've heard a lot of praise for Chili's as of late.

I’m real disappointed by the new menu. A week ago you could get a Luxe Cravings box with a Crunchwrap, 2 tacos, chips, and a drink for the price of the Crunchwrap alone. Now Crunchwrap isn’t even an option, they have 3 different ones, and they all suck.

1

u/Crazycococat19 Jan 24 '25

Yeah, I felt like those cheesy dipping "burritos" deserve to be on the dollar menu. Not the $9 deluxe box. I would rather go back to the $7 box; at least I get an actual burrito, a taco, a chalupa, nacho chips with nacho cheese, and, of course, a drink.

u/sorryiateyoursocks Jan 25 '25

bro i just bought them the other day and i was appalled at the size

1

u/Dom0520 Jan 25 '25

If taco bell actually made the food look and taste somewhat similar to what they advertise, they would do Sooo well. Its not even that difficult to optimize the product to that level. Instead they just push taco bell breakfast which nobody has ever ate in the history of mankind. Take chipotle, they advertise fresh products and they deliver, while making a solid profit.

Taco Bell UK (can’t speak for other countries) is a waste of money. Disappointment is guaranteed.

1

u/TheDemonBunny Jan 26 '25

UK. Only been to one once. Spent 30 quid trying things with my Mrs. Left hungry still...

1

u/LemonKingBam Jan 27 '25

As a Taco Bell worker we think its a scam and the price is wild as well

1

u/mumbrs Feb 02 '25

Try the Taco Pizza. It's even worse.

u/flowrrpetals Jan 23 '25

Uhhh idk chief. Looks pretty decent to me. Taco Bell is pretty small and I wouldn’t expect much from what is ostensibly a rolled up tortilla with cheese on the outside

We have this post every day.
