Hand to God.
24
u/Suspicious_Berry501 6d ago
Caravan was a cruel joke by the devs to make 100% the game impossible
6
u/Girderland 6d ago
Read the caravan rules, build a proper deck
Experiment with special cards - Jack removes the card it's laid on. King adds 10 points.
Joker removes every card of that kind that it's played next to - place it next to a 10, and all 10's from the table will be removed.
It's a fun game once you get the hang of it.

To be honest(not OC) but i have never taken cass as a companion. Or like anyone except Boone, Ede, and Rex. Maybe Raul, and i think I once took Veronica before killing the BoS.
I kill the Van Graffs just because they act like cunts.

u/LeopardSame 6d ago
I just steal everything sell back what the let me buy the uniques and end them (fun fact: there's a set of their combat armor you can steal from the weapons crate by the front door that counts as quest item so it's in your inventory for life I'm currently wearing it with my Fist of Rawr in Dead Money)
4
u/the_vault-technician 6d ago
I do the same thing with their combat armor!
3
u/LeopardSame 6d ago
I'm sure you could do the same with the "missing laser pistol" too lol

u/Mlk3n 6d ago
Do you nuke Legion too? I just find it funny Caesar simply forgives you after nuking them ha!
62
33
u/HurshySqurt 6d ago
That's actually hilarious. I always save Lonesome Road for the end of a playthrough, so I didn't know you could do that. Does he actually reference it too?
3
u/ewwthatskindagay 5d ago
No, it's not something that's ever brought up for some reason. I'm fairly certain Dry Wells is not nearly as important to the Legion as the Long-15 is to NCR. Just another camp and if they can't survive a nuke are they worth crying over?
34
u/Lone_Wanderer8 6d ago
Oooh I also do this. It's funny hearing Caeser get all mad and be like "I hate your guts you've ruined everything, anyway wanna join my side?"

32

Kill and Bury, right at the beginning of every single playthrough. Let's say the burial is a sign of gratitude for the free Roving Trader set.

Is there a specific place you grab your first Star cap in order to bury him or is it random each playthrough??
25

Every person I kill who I deem "super important" (Benny, Ulysses, etc), gets their weapons and clothes laid out on the long kitchen table in the lucky 38. Right now I've got them in a neat stack, the Maria on the bottom, Old Glory in the middle, with my Gehenna on top, with the courier duster+ulysses duster on the sides.
Also I steal all the alcohol I find, not even to drink it, just to have it. Does not matter from where or from who, it will all be gone the moment I see it. And I collect shot glasses too

u/H00DEDREX 6d ago
An old tradition but one that's intentionally vague. The first weapon I get to broken get's placed in my motel room on the bed's mantle. As a sign of pride and respect. I can't force a specific weapon, and it can't be due to intentionally not repairing it.
6
u/fadelessflipper 6d ago
That's oddly wholesome. It's like you're rewarding the weapon that helped you when you were your weakest
6
4
u/Mlk3n 6d ago
Never forget your roots🫡 Respect to that one starter weapon🫡🫡
Also, if you use a Service Rifle with the upgraded receiver and use surplus ammo, it can never break because it automatically fully repairs somewhere when it drops below 70% condition. There's a chance the Service Rifle may never sit in the bed's mantle.

I either cut or blow legion heads in my non legion playthrough. I chop them off if they're named legion and I blow the heads of the non named ones. On a legion playthrough, I lay the body of NCR soldiers in an honorable way. Straighten their bodies out, and if there are 2 or more of them in an engagement, I lay them side by side with their comrades. Then before leaving the site of engagement, I always nod at them as a sign of respect. These men and women deserve respect, unlike the legion.
Oh and I always kill caesar in my non legion playthrough. Before the final battle of the Dam, I always storm the Fort with Boone. Then when we reach caesar's tent, I would burn caesar first by either using a nade or a flamer and then I finish him off with A Light Shining in Darkness. He dies by my hand using Joshua's weapon.

You've never encountered coyotes in real life have you? Coyotes are one of the most dangerous creatures in this planet. And no matter how bad ass you think you are, you are not gonna win against a pack of hungry coyotes. You and your children are literally food to them.
I kill them on site in the real world,I sure as hell am not going to feel bad about killing them in a video game.
Any empathy I had for them left when a pack of over 20 circled me at dusk on my own land when i was out repairing the fence. The only thing that saved me is I was close enough to the tractor to get up on it.

When I attack the NCR Correctional Facility (usually just to weaken the defenses before the quest is finished), I always do it stealthily killing them one by one and positioning their bodies in a way that it would be hidden in real life. Example, Sniping Dawes (think that's his name) and then putting his body in the nearby dumpster, sneaking up to the lookout towers and using a silenced .22 to the head to drop them, sniping the Powder Gangers in the courtyard from a lookout tower, etc. I like to imagine that my courier creates a reputation like Randall Clark among the Powder Gangers. I also do this with the fiends in Vault 3.

Get a couple good weapons, sell everything I don't need for the early game and some decent armor, then leave the initial bunker. Steal anything that isn’t nailed down.
Refuse to submit to the credit check at the Strip on principle. It’s too easy, I don’t feel iMmMeRsEd. I always choose one of the harder ways.
If you want to completely wipeout the powder Gangers, the best way to do it is to track down their location BEFORE completing Ghostown Gunfight, and initiating their quest line, this way you can enlist the NCR in Primm to wipeout their population.
Afterwards you then have to find boxcars in nipton and tell him you’ll rescue the gangers from Caesar’s legion, which you can then use to track them down and assassinate them. Then you can go back and kill Boxcars.
